Has a kitchen which is great. Limited hot water. Underwear pad on blanket. But room is spacious & turkeys in the morning. Breakfast is toast and cereal and milk. Best part of stay was seeing turkeys. -Hannah (33 yo) Did not like hotel, the fridge was not white. But the milk was good. But all the turkeys we saw were amazing. I wanted to hunt them but I couldn't but it was amazing. -Casey (6 yo)
This is definitely an older motel that has not been renovated. It's almost as of you traveled back to the early 1990's. It had an old smell to it. The glass sliding door was cracked and taped. The room was quite roomy, but everything in it was definitely old. It is very close to the entrance to Sequoia, which is the real reason we stayed here for one night. The price was not worth the room, but I suppose the closeness to Sequoia made it somewhseeok. I'm not sure we would stay here again. The room did have a small fridge and a microwave. Plenty of parking.
Honestly, I wasn't expecting much because of the reviews and pictures of the room I had seen online. The room we booked was the 'Deluxe Suite' (we just wanted an affordable place to sleep in, shower and not have to drive far to get to Sequoia park) BUT the suite they gave us was AMAZING AND CLEAN! It exceeded my expectations! I believe it was recently renovated. It was super spacious and comfortable. Very family friendly. The towels were nice and clean and smelled good. It came fully equipped with fridge, stove, microwave, pots, pans and some cooking utensils and dining table. This was the 'S3' suite. Only 2-6 minutes away from a couple restaurants and mini market/gas stations and about 7 mins drive to Sequoia park. Ample parking. Hopefully they continue to renovate the place and get more positive reviews. The "free breakfeast" is coffee, store bought pastries and cereal. Not your typical "breakfeast" but something to get you going.
The room we stayed in wasn't clean. The floor, table and restroom was kinda sticky and filthy. The Ac goes on and off but sometimes doesn't work at all. The fridge barely cools the items inside of it. My sister's room had bed bugs but was nicer than ours. The only thing good about this hotel is the location which is close to Sequoia national Park.
You get what you pay for. Our room was completely redone- room #9, our room was nice! No bugs, nothing gross. Bring your own pillows (theirs are flat as pancakes). As reviews said- don't count on breakfast being anything but toast and milk left on a counter with some cereal. The pool was non functioning. The place is completely run down. Giving 4 stars because our room was redone and it was super clean. But if we had gotten a run down room and the inside looked like the outside, we definitely wouldn't have stayed. 2 on service- because the guy was nowhere to be found. Location was amazing!!!
