Great tent only campground. 4 sites right at the Maroon Bells welcome center. It has tent pads, picnic tables, fire pits, bear lockers, drinking water and toilets. It's a great place to stay if you want to visit the Maroon Bells. It's also right off the creek! I've enjoyed staying here a few times and hope to come back each year.
One of my favorite campsites my entire trip. I got Site 3, which was right next to the waterfall which I thought was great. Had constant natural white noise all night from it and slept well. Perfect location if you're looking to beat the crowds to marron bells.
It is very small campground, with a few spots. It does have to be reserved. It is rustic, only good for tent or travel van. It does have a restroom. I didn't see water, no power and it does have a stream nearby. Although I would not drink from it because of the risk of Giardia could be there We still liked it alot. It does enable to drive to, (rather than ride the bus) see Maroon Bells at any time.
Stunning camping area. 4 camping spots each equipped with a pick-nick table, bear box and a zone for your tent. There are 7 parking spots, 1 pit toilet, 1 dumpster and 1 recycling bin. Easy access to the maroon bells trails. The address in google isn’t correct and cell phone service is not available in this canyon. We visited during COVID19 in July 2020 and access to the trails are only available by reservation or by taking the bus. If you snag a camp spot you pay an extra $10 to park which bypasses the bus and allows you to park in the overflow lot above the campground.
Very pretty scenery but overcrowded neighbors were very noisy
