Silver Creek RV Park

My husband (a travel nurse) and I have been here for almost six months and have loved it. The camp hosts (Jeanette and Jack) have been so helpful and kind. They are strict with the rules but they need to be to keep the park safe and running smoothly. They have had issues with problem dogs so that is why there are restrictions. Another review said there weren't doors on the restrooms, but that is not true. They do have doors but guests sometimes prop the doors open and the camp hosts have to go and close them. I gave it only four stars because the internet is very slow and will drop you off of the service frequently. It would also be nice if cable was available here because it is hard to get satellite reception due to all of the trees. The trees are great providers of shade so it is a trade off. There is a lovely pond and open area on the property and it is also located next to a pay lake. It is very convenient to restaurants and shopping, as well as to Louisville. We feel very blessed to have been able to stay here.

Very close to downtown Louisville. Relatively quiet, easy interstate access. Lots of places to eat and also a Starbucks close by. All gravel, level. Spaces are tight. Full hookups, including 50 Amp. Feels safe. There is a centrally located bathhouse and laundry facility. Located next to a popular pay to fish lake. Beautiful sunrise and sunset.

Perfect spot for us, close to restaurants and stores. Everything we need to repair, restock and visit. The park is all gravel and the spaces are pretty close together. They have a nice bath house and laundry, everything is really clean and the camp hosts are so nice!

We love this RV park. We have been here about 6 months and being new to RV living, the hosts Jack and Jeanette have taught us quite a few things about how to park, level and setup among other things. They even got us a good deal on propane to help us through the winter with a big tank setup from a local company. There is a nice lake on the grounds and a pay lake next door. We see deer, rabbits, squirrels, ducks and geese on a regular basis. This is not a park for kids really as there are no play grounds and rules for children are tight in an effort to keep the noise down, and the owners want it this way. We have dogs and trust me there is a reason for the dog rules as not all people are responsible owners. The park owners just invested lots of money in repainting the bath house, repaving the roads, redoing the gravel, and trimming lots of trees. So the review about owners not investing money in the place is not correct. Most of the people here are workers and therefore it's really quiet during the day. We have made several good friends here. Their busiest time of year is during Thunder and Derby weeks but as you can see in the pictures it still doesn't feel cramped. The issue with the service dog was related to the dog constantly barking so it was asked to leave. The only reason for 4 stars is related to the poor wifi and no cable. Also the people who are contracted to mow the grass do not do a through job. They mow way too fast and have the blades set too high and sometimes they mow when it is raining/wet which leaves ruts in the grass.

We stay there every year and enjoy the stay and the great location. We would like to see them add a dog park .

Karen cannot get any sweeter and more helpful. She and her hubs are the best. Neighbors are great. Beautiful campgrounds and great facilities if your camper has a problem. Brand new baths and fire area. Private lake w fishing.

Used to live here they've done some upgrading since then and it's quite packed now miss it really miss it it was a nice place to be shower house everything Wildlife there's a pay fishing lake next door to it and it's close to everything love it

this is the 2nd year we have stayed at this campground while visiting family in the area. It's convenient to all kinds of shopping and restaurants as well as sightseeing. Although it's made up of mostly full timers, it feels safe and is quiet. The new park hosts, Karen and Mike couldn't be nicer. They go out of their way to help you with anything you might need. Hopefully the new owners will add some sites for people just traveling thru the area and need a spot for a night or so.

A convenient location close to lots of shopping and restaurants. The staff is super nice. The campground is quiet, and most of the campers there are permanent, few spaces for the rest of us. The issue with this campground is the lack of space, you are so close to your neighbor the you cannot open your canopy. There is no room for the car, they need to be parked across the street. Forget having a picnic table. Bathrooms very clean. FYI, they don't take credit cards.

Meh. On the good side, the site is conveniently located to shopping, restaurants and highways. That's where it ends. Cramped in like sardines. Way overpriced for what you get. Bathroom facilities are decent. Lots of long term campers fill the place. I'll be skipping this place next time I'm passing through.
