Great camping sites near Turquoise lake. There are multiple pit toilets that are clean, very little if any trash, a boat ramp, and a camp host that has firewood for sale. There is a large parking lot for XL RVs and boats and a TON of sites with picnic tables and fire rings all connected by a lovely groomed walking trail that follows the lake bank in a out-and back 11 mile trail. Definitely a peaceful and lovely stay
Silver dollar is a great small campground in the cluster of campgrounds on turquoise lake. Our campground host Trudy was very welcome and extremely accommodating. Tons of trees and a lots of privacy, esp. on the outside of the ring. Be aware: campsites can be pretty inclined.
Love the experience it. My first time camping and I have nothing but good stuff to say about it. First come first serve basis. Bring everything you need before hand fire wood as well if possible. Cash as well or checks for anything you need inside the camp. Closest town is Leadville.
Cool spot. Close to the water but not walking distance. Would recommend reserving online beforehand. All was great except the camp host - he was not very cooperative or nice. Ended up moving to the Father Dyer campground which was a much better experience.
Great campground. Lots of space between sites. Easy trail access to lake. Camp host this trip was one of the nicest and most helpful ones i have encountered.
