the campground sign says it’s $26/day, $28/weekends+holidays—too expensive in our opinion, it doesn’t seem maintained very well. but the walk down to the waterfall is a fine little stroll if you like waterfalls (you can park and do the short hike even if you aren’t camping there). potable water, dumpster and 2 bars at&t.
There is day parking in the campground for the trail to the falls. It’s a unmaintained trail.
A short distance away from the falls
We stayed here in mid August on a friday night. We were the only people there, it was wonderful. This campground is accessible from the state highway. We had a class A motorhome with low clearance so actual boondocking was out of the question. We could hear a car on the highway maybe once an hour after dark. There is a short trail to a water fall. CAUTION high altitude sickness is possible if you are prone to it or like me moved to sea level 30+ years ago.
Got to see a bear walk through the camp ground
Had a great little hike down to the South Falls! Nice, small campground with secluded sites.
