Silver Valley Campsite

My husband and i were camping at another site close to Silver Valley, we had friends staying at the SV Campground and wanted to go see the place for a future stay. We were there for 1 hour and stopped at the camp store to check it out. When making a purchase at the camp store I was asked what site we were from and I mentioned we stopped by to see our friends and to check out the campground for a future stay. We were at the campground less than an hour. The lady behind the counter stated that all visitors must pay the $10.00 visitor fee, We did not use any of what the campground had to offer in our hour visit. I get it most campgrounds want visitors to pay but normally it is for an extended stay, not 1 hour. I will never park my camper there and I will tell all of my friends who camp to stay away. If you want a super nice campground with management that is not always in your pocket go to CHESTNUT LAKE CAMPGROUND down the street, Linda is great to work with!

We used to love this place but things have changed. Most campgrounds only charge about $5.00 to $10.00 dollars a person to visit not $20.00 a person. Also Most campgrounds will refund you your deposit if you give at least a 14 day notice even if it's a holiday, because they know they will be able to book that site again at a higher price.

Very disappointed with this campground. For one they charge 20.00 per person to visit even for one hour. JUST found out there rates went up without notice. Just got told you do Not get a Refund for holiday or halloween weekends no matter what.usually you get a two week grace and then a refund not this campground. So sad we went there for years no more. I will be surprised if they keep going.

First time at this camp ground everyone from staff to other campers super friendly. You feel the stress of the world lift off your shoulders as you pull in had such a great time in 2 days we reserved two sites next July 4th bringing our camping buddies with us. Thank you for a great experience!!!

Second time here this year. Spent two long weekends. Nice campground with nice size sites. Friendly staff. Lots of activities! Indoor and outdoor pools. Well kept facilities. We will definitely be back!
