I love going to Silverton, Co., and will be back to Silverton Lakes probably at least once a year. After camping there 3 times now, I'd recommend staying away from Site #1 though. People from the small cabins at that Park think it's OK to walk through your campsite to get to the showers. This happened several times with different parties. It's a high traffic site that made me want to stay inside. I really like the staff - very friendly and accommodating. I didn't tell them about the probs we had - so no blame should be assigned. They are very friendly.
Each year we come to Silverton around the same time (Weekend after Labor Day) and are able to find dispersed spots for our trailer. This was not the case this time for the first couple of days. We needed a place to land and we choose Silverton Lakes. Pat and his wife were very friendly and helpful. We were in the dry camping area that we shared with a couple of tents. It worked out perfect for a couple nights. It was quiet and comfortable. I was told the week before it was completely full, so take that into consideration. If needed would not hesitate to stay there again. They have a dump station and fresh water fill up included in the stay. You are also able to use these facilities if you are traveling through for a very reasonable fee.
My family and I have been coming to Silverton, CO for over 45 years and started staying at Silverton Lakes RV Park & Cabins about 35 years ago. We have pulled RV’s, used the wet and dry cabins, dry camped and even tent camped over those years. Our trips are always one of the most special and anticipated family events of the year and now 5 generations have been fortunate enough to experience an amazing vacation at Silverton Lakes. We make the 13 hour drive several times a year because it has become such a special place for our family. The facilities are great, the staff is amazing and the location can’t be beat.
Silverton is a beautiful little town surrounded by majestic peaks. Silverton Lakes RV Park is perfectly located to enjoy everything nature has to offer. The staff made us feel very welcome. The rest room and shower room were sparkling clean with all new fixtures. We really enjoyed our two night stay and strongly recommend this place.
Dry cabin review: 10/10. This place is great. All of the RV’s are higher end, and most of the guests seem to be as well. It’s quiet at 10pm, the cabins are nice, the rooms are nice, the bathrooms are super clean and new. The best part is the friendly and helpful staff. They are all really nice. It’s perfect for dirt bikers because he can hit the trail without going through town. They also have a golf cart to shuttle you back-and-forth into town. It’s very safe 👍👍
