Silverwood RV Park Introduce

Welcome, Idaho adventurers and thrill-seekers! If your idea of a perfect getaway involves the excitement of a theme park combined with the comforts of a well-equipped campground, then Silverwood RV Park in Athol is a name you need to know. Strategically located right next to one of North Idaho's most beloved attractions, Silverwood Theme Park, this RV park offers a practical and appealing solution for your accommodation needs. Whether you're traveling in a full-sized RV, prefer to pitch a tent, or even opt for car camping, Silverwood RV Park aims to provide a convenient and comfortable base for your Idaho adventures.

Silverwood RV Park is designed with convenience and family fun in mind. It's an excellent choice for those looking to maximize their time at the theme park, eliminating the need for long drives or complicated logistics. Beyond its prime location, the park strives to offer essential amenities that make your stay more enjoyable. While every establishment has its unique quirks and challenges, the core offerings of Silverwood RV Park focus on providing a functional and accessible camping experience. For Idaho locals, it represents an affordable and practical option for a fun-filled family vacation or a weekend escape, allowing easy access to both the thrills of Silverwood and the wider recreational opportunities that the beautiful Athol area and surrounding North Idaho have to offer. It's about combining convenience with comfort for your outdoor and entertainment pursuits.

Silverwood RV Park boasts an incredibly advantageous location at 27843 US-95, Athol, ID 83801, USA. Its address directly on US-95, a major highway in Idaho, ensures excellent visibility and straightforward accessibility for all types of vehicles, from large RVs to passenger cars. The key to its appeal, however, is its direct proximity to Silverwood Theme Park. As one reviewer aptly noted, it's "within walking distance to the park," making it an ideal choice for visitors who want to spend their days enjoying the rides and attractions without the hassle of driving and parking.

Athol, while a smaller community, provides the necessary services, and its position along US-95 connects it easily to larger towns like Coeur d'Alene to the south or Sandpoint to the north. This central location in North Idaho means that beyond Silverwood Theme Park, campers have relatively easy access to other regional attractions, including various lakes, hiking trails, and quaint towns. While its highway-side location offers unparalleled convenience for arrival and departure, some level of ambient road noise might be expected, as is common with properties situated on major routes. However, for those prioritizing proximity to the theme park and ease of access, Silverwood RV Park's location is hard to beat, simplifying your vacation logistics significantly.

Silverwood RV Park offers a range of services designed to provide a comfortable and convenient stay for various types of campers, from RVs to those just needing a spot for the night.

  • Accommodates RVs, Tents, and Cars: The park is versatile, catering to "r.v, tent, or even your car." This flexibility makes it accessible for a wide range of travelers and budgets.

  • Spotless Restrooms with Hot Water: A significant highlight consistently praised by visitors are the "spotless restrooms with plenty of hot water." Clean and well-maintained sanitary facilities are crucial for a comfortable camping experience, and Silverwood RV Park seems to excel in this area.

  • Reasonably Priced Laundry Room: For longer stays or after messy outdoor adventures, the presence of a "reasonably priced laundry room on the premises" is a valuable amenity, allowing campers to refresh their clothing.

  • On-Site Store: The "little store has a great variety of necessities, along with the usual tourist stuff." This convenient on-site shop means campers don't necessarily have to leave the park for forgotten items or quick snacks, adding to the ease of their stay.

  • Affordable Choice: The park is described as an "affordable choice," making it an attractive option for budget-conscious families and travelers looking to save on accommodation costs while visiting the area.

While one review indicated some negative interactions with staff, focusing on services, the physical amenities mentioned, such as clean restrooms and laundry, are clear advantages for campers staying at Silverwood RV Park.

Silverwood RV Park, despite some mixed feedback on staff interactions, offers several compelling features and highlights that draw visitors, particularly those focused on convenience and access to local attractions.

  • Walking Distance to Silverwood Theme Park: This is by far its most significant highlight. The ability to walk directly to a major theme park saves time, money on parking, and simplifies logistics for families, making it an extremely attractive option for park-goers.

  • Excellent Bathroom Facilities: The consistent praise for "spotless restrooms with plenty of hot water" is a major selling point. Clean and comfortable showers and toilets are often a top priority for campers, and Silverwood RV Park appears to deliver on this front.

  • Convenient On-Site Amenities: The presence of a "reasonably priced laundry room" and a "little store" offering "necessities" adds a layer of convenience that enhances the overall stay, reducing the need to leave the park for basic needs.

  • Affordable Accommodation: Being an "affordable choice" makes it accessible to a broader range of visitors, allowing families to enjoy their vacation without excessive lodging costs, freeing up budget for park tickets or other activities.

  • Versatile Camping Options: The park's ability to accommodate RVs, tents, and even cars provides flexibility for different camping styles and preferences, broadening its appeal.

While a previous review mentioned issues with staff conduct and rule enforcement, it's important to consider that operational experiences can vary, and other reviewers highlight "Friendly hosts." The physical attributes and convenience aspects remain strong highlights for the property itself.

Let me start by saying this place could be AMAZING. Unfortunately, the staff harassed us the entire time. Driving in at 15mph and slowing down to 5mph as soon as you hit the gravel is the rules. I was probably doing 8-9mph while slowing down when I got yelled at by Jerry. I didn’t even have a chance to slow all the way down to 5. My front tires had barely touched the gravel when I was screamed at, like a child. They didn’t care that I was slowing down. It wasn’t fast enough for them. Fast forward the next morning, my 8 year old took our dog for a walk and didn’t have a bag. He came back to ask me for one, however I was in the middle of cooking breakfast. Before I could finish, Jerry and his pal came over to tell I needed to clean up after my dog. He saw I was cooking and he didn’t care. Wanted it done! This place is for families, ran by grumpy old people. I will NOT be staying at this RV site again. Save yourself the hassle. Stay at another one locally. Not worth being treated like scum when trying to enjoy your vacation with your little ones.

Friendly hosts, and within walking distance to the park. Their restrooms are spotless with plenty of hot water. There's even a reasonably priced laundry room on the premises. The little store has a great variety of necessities, along with the usual tourist stuff. This is an affordable choice if you want to stay close to park in an r.v, tent, or even your car.
