Two friends and I were on a cross country motorcycle trip to The Tail of the Dragon, just winging it with no plan. Found Simple Life and just showed up. We were greeted by Alan, who immediately made us feel welcomed. With multiple reservations, he was able to work with us and got us set up with a tent sight in no time. He was also very accommodating when my friend asked if we could move to another site. The grounds were maintained, and the bath house never ran out of hot water. The tent sight even had power to charge our devices. The best part was talking with Alan. He is the way customer service should work. Made you feel at home, made sure you had what ya needed, and never let you forget that him and his wife were at the top of the hill if you need anything. Will definitely stay at Simple Life anytime I go back to that area.

Alan (Allen? Allan?) was such a gracious host, even when mechanical delays and a little too much determination brought us over the Cherohala well after dark (do not recommend doing this, ARRIVE IN DAYLIGHT, VAMPIRES AND BEARS ARE REAL). The cabin was as modest as I expected and smelled more like a cabin than like a room at the Hilton, but it was clean and well equipped and priced modestly, and I grew up in a farmhouse, so I'm only saying this for people who shouldn't be at campgrounds at all. The mattress was pretty much Hilton worthy though, and that's what counts after a long day of riding! Shower was hot and clean: bring all your own toiletries. Make sure you can handle your bike on a bumpy side hill, or park low. Also GPS pointed us a little too far down the public road, just look for the prominent sign as you come in. Very conveniently located to a small town with a handful of restaurants and a full grocery (couple miles). Again I'm very grateful to Alan (sp?) for his attentiveness and kindness. Great stay, would absolutely return I'd we get the chance!

Alan is the man! He is super friendly and accommodating, no matter your setup. I have stayed with him two years in a row now for Miatas at the Gap, and can't see myself staying anywhere else for future events. I camp in my tuck and tow my vehicle up, and not only did he make sure I had ample space for my vehicles, but he also showed me where I could park my trailer for the weekend so it was out of my way. He even offered to move his personal vehicle to make more room for a friend of mine to stay with me one night! Alan is a great guy, and super easy to work with on arrival/departure times and accommodations, and is a joy to bump into around the campsite throughout the weekend. He is super knowledgeable of the area and had great recommendations on things to do. Will definitely be back for future visits!

My friend and I were on a motorcycle trip through the area and decided to camp for a couple of nights. I'm glad we found Simple Life. It's a very quiet and secluded camping area with multiple options, from tent camping to full cabins at VERY reasonable prices. Upon arrival we were met by the owner, Alan. He is a very friendly guy and worked with us to get into a cabin rather than tent camping. I'm glad we did. The cabin was comfortable with clean and comfortable beds. An extra bonus is it was right by the bath houses. Alan has an on-site store to sell basic items and firewood. There's also an on-site area to wash your motorcycle. Alan does a great job of maintaining the grounds and making sure his guests are comfortable. If you're looking for a rowdy party atmosphere, this place is NOT for you. Alan personally screens guests to ensure everyone has a relaxing and quiet time. We'll definitely go back the next time we're in the area.

Best place to stay in the area, Allen is the best, very friendly host. Stay here twice a year and that wont change. The honey in the shop is a must try. Beautiful views of the area, right in town for easy access to grocery and gas, but still quiet and cozy.
