Great location for the middle of summer because of its elevation. The temperature drops comfortably in the late evening. You can also catch a gorgeous sunset on the right nights. Payment was easy and it was quiet.

Stayed here for one night. It was a nice break from the hot temps. At a little above 8000 ft, the air was nice and cool. We did cold that night since we didn’t plan for temps in the low 50s. The folks that stayed before us had decorated the campsite with pine cones. Our boys loved the stone fort and pine cones. Campsite 29.

Excellent campsite. Everyone was quiet and to themselves. Nestled in a forest on a mountain in Southern Utah. Great for people who want a traditional camping experience without the hustle and bustle of camping at a national park

Nice camping. But I had some issues with people who took my reserved spot. And heard other people argued, too. Looks like the host forgot to update information on each spot.

The single sites, especially the ones in the back are really nice, and the location is amazing–hwy 12 is easily one of my favorite drives anywhere. So why the rating of 2? The group sites are absolutely terrible. Site B being the worst of the two is basically just the shoulder of the road in. The larger rvs are basically half in the road. I can’t imagine what would happen if they ever had to get emergency crews in for any reason, it’s hard enough squeezing by in a half ton.
