Customer Reviews
We have been camping at Sinkhole for 7 years straight now. And our grandkids 6 and 4 love it. It's very clean with spacious camp sites. And great camp hosts too.
Sinkhole was a nice spot. Decent clean vault toilets. We were there in late April, basically opening weekend, apparently. The campground host, (Sharon, I think?) was extremely cordial and attentive... clearly she really enjoys the job. Lots of nice hikes close by, as well as sunset opportunities on the rim, which is walkable and also a quick drive. Nice lakes nearby. The campground is a little close to the main road, but that was the worst thing, and it's not that bad once night falls.
It's a nice small campground. Some spots are double meaning there are two spaces side by side. Great for two families. It is close to highway 260 so there is road noise.
Had one of my best camping experiences ever here! My friends and I came to camp out for a few days, we were greeted by the sweetest camp host who was beyond generous, saw lots of pretty animals and went trout fishing at the lake just half a mile away! Caught a big one too ๐ Will definitely be coming back!
You will see this campground almost immediately as you enter Woods Canyon Lake. It will be on your left and there is a sign so you can't miss it. The campsites were nice and shaded by the pines. I do recall seeing some restrooms but I don't remember seeing any water fountains. Bear in mind reservations are needed at this campground. Each campsite also comes with a picnic table and at each place there was a picnic tables. If you do end up staying here, you will be very close with just a few minutes walk to Willow Springs Trailhead. The downside is finding the exit was very confusing. I drove in circles a few times. I wish they had clearer signs.
Very well-kept campsite with huge lots and parking at each sight. Sparkling clean restrooms and friendly camp host! A major downside is that itโs very close to the highway - the noise and lights from traffic kept us up all night.
Here is a couple things to know about this campsite before deciding on coming here. The first big thing is that the campsites are fairly close to each other, there isnt much privacy at all. Secondly, they do have outhouses and big trash containers you can dump trash in. Also, there is a lake nearby, you can walk there but it would be much better to drive. Overall, it wasn't a bad spot, but I'm not looking to come back. I would recommend it, if you don't mind being close to others and want a nice nearby lake to fish at!
