Six Pines Campground Introduce

Six Pines Campground, located in Dundee, IA 52038, USA, offers a scenic park setting with various recreational activities. As part of the "Campgrounds & RV Parks" category, it caters to families and outdoor enthusiasts, but potential visitors should be aware of reported issues.

Positive reviews highlight the park's natural beauty, with trees surrounding the campground and a secluded atmosphere. It is described as fun for kids, offering opportunities for hiking, exploring, and fishing. However, several drawbacks have been noted by visitors.

One common complaint is the close proximity of individual campsites, which can lead to a lack of privacy and potential noise disturbances. Reviewers have reported issues with loud music and inconsiderate behavior from neighboring campers, significantly impacting their experience.

Another concern is the limited availability of toilet paper in the restrooms, with reports that only two rolls are provided per day. Visitors are advised to bring their own, especially during busy weekends. The campground also enforces a strict rule of only two tents per site, requiring campers with more tents to pay for additional sites.

Electric scooters are reportedly not allowed within the campground. While the park is described as beautiful and family-friendly, the potential for noise disturbances and the close spacing of campsites may detract from a relaxing experience. Visitors seeking a quiet and serene camping environment may want to consider alternative locations.

Six Pines Campground offers scenic park with potential noise and space issues. Located in Dundee, IA.

Nice park. Fun for the he kids. Lots of hiking and exploring. Some fishing. If it’s a busy weekend bring your own toilet paper they only put out two rolls a day. Only two tents per site we had to pay for an extra site. Also no electric scooters allowed.

This is a beautiful park and the Six Pines campground was very nice, with trees surrounding it and tucked away from the other campground. However, the individual sites are very close together, which is hard to tell from their photos on the website. If you are looking for a campground that is spread out and you have privacy and peace from your neighbors, look elsewhere. My family and I reserved the weekend here, and we arrived in the afternoon to set up camp. Shortly thereafter, the group in the site directly next to ours started BLASTING AT FULL VOLUME their brain-melting migraine-inducing Spanish music. And then proceeded to yell conversations at each other because they couldn’t hear themselves over the jungle-thumping noise. Then a few of them proceeded to just walk directly THROUGH our campsite to get to the restrooms. This aggravating behavior continued through what was supposed to be a quiet, serene evening and finally at 9:30 pm my family and I had had enough. We quickly packed up our whole campsite and went home. Totally ruined our relaxing planned weekend because some knuckleheads wanted to have a fiesta in the middle of a forest. We came here to get away from the noise of the city and enjoy nature, but I guess this wasn’t the place to do it. Campers beware!!!

Grassy and quiet non-electric campsite loop. Picnic tables and fire pits at each site. Your tent will be a short and winding drive from many of the park's hiking features. Play area for kids. Two pit toilets at each end. Can be sunny midday. Trained racoons that appear in the night to clear your campsite of food that was not adequately secured.

Quiet, peaceful spacious. Waste cans may be an invitation to uninvited pests. Great access to the Pugeon River
