This is one of the nicest free campsites I've been to so far. There is a pair of geese with 7 goslings, and a skinny turkey that visits. I even find some wild spinach and lots of dandelion greens for lunch. My dogs have found a couple of stickers leftover from last year but this years crop are not mature yet. The grass was recently mowed and the privies are clean. There are several nicely shaded areas after the noon sun. The locals come through during the week. Some for fishing, some for a swim. There have been a couple other long term campers, and a few come and go over the weekend. I've been here for a little over a week and plan on taking advantage of the full 14 days.

Really nice lake. No amenities except a centralized water spigot. Pit toilets.

If you have a dog don’t let them anywhere near the ‘grass’. All goatheads (sand burrs) impossible to tell where they are, even walking in sand. Otherwise nice, quiet, but windy spot. Great Verizon service.
