My husband, mother in law and our two young children stayed here for three nights this past week. We had a wonderful time. I was somewhat nervous bringing my young children here after reading some of the reviews but I understand people typically don't go out of their way to post positive reviews (as they often do if they have negative ones) so this is really the main reason for sharing my positive review. We stayed right on a main road close to the entrance. Didn't see the excessive partying and drinking like others before have stated. It wasn't overly loud...it's a good place to experience camping. We loved exploring the whole campground on the golf carts. My children especially loved that. There were several playground areas...some cleaner and in better condition than others. It's what you would expect from a campground. The bathroom/shower facilities were clean and well stocked. There were a ton of activities for all ages to do. The pool was nice but at times overcrowded but it's a huge campground and one pool so that was really our only complaint. There are no other bodies of water to swim in or cool off in so just having one pool for the huge campground isn't ideal. Overall the place was clean. We even had a camper mishap when we first arrived and we had a few people just walk up and help. We didn't run into a single mean person, or anyone not treating us with respect. People were very very friendly, even the regulars/season holders. So bottom line.... Great place to go with a family....or with friends.

Great family campground. It was so refreshing to see so many little ones running around & playing outdoors rather than sitting & staring at their devices. The park offers planned activities like bingo, cornhole, bonfires, etc. The scenery is lovely. My only complaint is their map layout is impossible to follow and site numbers nearly impossible to see. Thankfully, a fellow Floridian, who was working there for the season, helped us out parking on the site. If not for him, we wouldn't have utilized our full camping space.

Horrible experience. Rain was in the forecast but we expected it and went anyway. We were told there was a wedding at the rec hall and they would give us a site further away for privacy and quiet. Got to the site and we were the only ones in the area "The Cove", nice little circular area with sites around the perimeter and a big pavilion and playground in the center. The pavilion also had a nice big fire pit in the center. We thought great ! if it rains we still have a place to meet and have some local friends visit. The rain started around 12:00, by 2:00 pm the pavilion was filled with locals from seasonal sites, complete with a fire, and several coolers, trucks and golf carts surrounding it. OK, no problem they got there first we'll just continue our weekend at our camper 75 yards away. WELL, the loud music, drinking, golf carts zooming back and forth blowing their horns, and extremely loud foul language continued on until after 2:00 am. The crowd having the party never once had the consideration to lower their music or voices. The owners had to be able to hear this unless they were in another state. Nothing was done. It was less than enjoyable to try and tell my two young boys to tune out the extremely loud woman who couldn't say a sentence without the words F*&k, A$$hole, or similar and to just go to sleep. Not to mention the screams of "Do Donuts" every time one of the several horn blowing golf carts sped to and from. I have nothing against people having a good time, but obviously these people just struggle through their miserable lives through the week just so they can go to "camp" and get stupid drunk and act like inconsiderate children. The owners obviously appear to either be unable to handle them, or worse condone this style of treatment of other PAYING guests. So, if you have a family and enjoy the outdoors...move along. However, on a good note if you want a place to get stupid drunk and act like a classless hooker at a biker bar, then here's your place.

I spent hours searching for a place to camp for Memorial Day weekend just 3 weeks before the holiday arrived. Finally I came upon Skybrook and they had openings. I was quite shocked but then I looked at the place and realized it is huge. They even allowed us to book a stay from Thursday-Sunday instead of Friday-Monday like most. We arrived Thursday morning around 11 as they have a very early check in time which was great. We felt like we got to actually enjoy the day unlike places that make you check in at 3 when the day is 75% over. Pulling in is very confusing as you have to travel quite a ways down into the property before you find the office. It could be marked a lot better to let you know where you should be going. The roads are narrow, all dirt, and very steep in a lot of spots. I can't imagine pulling our 28 foot camper up them if they were all mud. Our spot was part of an open horseshoe and not clearly marked at all. We were the 1st to arrive of course so we simply did our best to assume where we should be set up. When we arrived we were notified of their no AC policy. The temps were in the high 80's to low 90's and it was HOT! Thankfully a huge rain storm happened that night and cooled things off so we could sleep. Friday we watched the place quickly fill in as the other campers arrived. With no rain in sight we began to worry about how the heck we would be able to sleep in such hot temps. The camper next to us pulled in and fired up their AC right away. As we discussed it with our other neighbors, we both decided it may be a chance we also had to take at night. Now I can understand not wanting people to blast their AC all day. That would be a waste. However allowing people to sleep in comfort is a different story. We fired ours up as we went to bed, set it to a high temp to be careful, and I expected some breaker to blow at some point. It kicked on and off all night and ran just fine with no issues. We checked out Saturday morning simply due to the heat. I asked about their no AC policy and they stated it is possible to run it in some areas but they dont allow it on holidays due to the amount of people. Seems like it isn't because they can't handle it, it's simply because they don't want to pay for it. We didn't experience any issues with the seasonal campers like some express in their reviews. They wave and were pleasant just like everyone else in our experience. The pool was very dirty and filed with debris, the fishing pond needs a lot of brush cleared to make it more accessible, and their roads need a lot of work. The playgrounds were nice, the camp store is packed to the brim with everything, and their early check in is great. Overall it served it's purpose in a pinch but we won't return.
