So I actually have stayed here about four times and I have never seen a roach. I’m not saying it’s not possible there could be roaches. It’s Florida, those are common and there’s people always coming and going and who knows what they have in their bags. But personally I’ve never seen any myself. The front desk people are always so nice and the rooms are clean which is way more than I can say about other hotels up here around the same price point. The only complaint I have is I always end up having a problem with sneezing when I stay, and it lasts for a day or two afterwards. I’m not sure if it’s something with the a/c or if I could just have allergies. I do have one question for management that is completely irrelevant to the rest of this though. I love the bedding. Do you guys sell the blankets by chance?
The 2 star rating google puts on this hotel is about right. Not sure where the 4.2 average comes from. The room was ok. Furniture was heavily used, but overall clean floors, sheets, and towels. Breakfast was very good, lots of variety. Typical Sleep inn...the common areas of the building were mostly meh. The rooms were better, by a couple stars. If you have to stay more than a weekend, skip.
I was initially excited about staying at this hotel, as it looked nice online and the front desk staff were friendly and welcoming. However, when we entered the room, we were immediately disappointed to find tiny roaches scattered all over the place. It was late, and we had been out all day, so we didn’t want to drive back home for another two hours, but the condition of the room made our stay uncomfortable. I had to lay towels on the floor just to avoid having my feet touch it. This hotel seriously needs urgent fumigation. I hope the management addresses this issue for future guests.
Place was relatively clean, kudos to the housekeeping staff on an outdated prompt but this room was completely infested with cockroaches. I have never seen anything like this, they were crawling everywhere, it was one of the worst experiences I've had in a hotel room. They were crawling out of electrical outlets in the bathroom, on the floor, and even on the nightstand next to the bed. This place had an 8 rating in booking.com, so must have taken a recent dive in upkeep. For $170 a night, I expected so much better, the number of roaches were so bad not sure you could pay me to stay here again. The thought of roaches crawling on you when you sleep is a complete dealbreaker!
