Customer Reviews
The campground is remote, but clean and beautiful. You get there and choose a spot you like, they supposedly will come to you to collect. There was no drop box or anything so I had no place to leave my pay and I'm not about to drive around searching for the groundskeeper. We ended up spending the night for free bc no one came to collect. We were the only ones in the park that night. Oh, also...there is one portable toilet for the entire campground. It was clean and odorless, which was nice. But keep in mind everyone shares one toilet.
I stayed 2 nights (one week ago) while moto camping with my buddy on our Harleys from Los Angeles (California) to Monument Valley/Four Corners. What a spectacular and extraordinary place to stay!!!!! Quiet, heartbreaking views and in such a great location close to Mexican Hat Gas station-7eleven (where you can get some supplies and firewood) and also to popular touristic points of interest like Forrest Gump point or Monument Valley visitor center. The place is just amazing as the native american family who owns it and manages it. Really charming and lovely people down to take the time and effort to have a good welcoming talk with you, making you feel like at home and a special guest. Stars at night are incredible and if you are lucky like we were, you could even see and hear some wild horses in the distance on the near by canyon. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!!! Can´t wait to go back!!!! Do yourself a favor and stay there!!!!
The location has beautiful scenery and is close enough for day trips to explore the area. Is perfect for a quiet camping trip. Our host was very friendly and helpful with insight about the area and we were impressed with how she expressed her pride in the area. The visiting local dog was an added bonus as we enjoyed his company since he was so well behaved. Definitely a spot we will be returning to. Since the site is easily accessible by motorcycle it could be a favourite for fellow riders. As a side note bike covers would be an asset to bring since the winds can be strong and blow the sand at times. Still definitely worth the experience.
The palace is super calm. I don't understand the people how want to pay 40-60 usd to stay next to a super busy road with noise. This place cost 25 usd the night what is really cheap. The pictures of the panels speek for it self. When you like to support the locals and spend a wonderful time in the nature calm and peaceful this is your place. I have a 5th weehler travel trailer 35ft long. No problem only check walking where the bigger spots are. With some thinking and taking the right ways there are many different you can take you can go even with 40ft plus but plan your way in advanced by walking than you don't need to cut tight corners. Good skills are required when more then 40ft
Unbelievable spot. Super friendly host that’ll come by to say hello and give you some tips for local sightseeing, some of the most colorful sunrises you’ve ever seen, more stars than you’ve ever seen, and most of all, QUIET.
