Well, this place is fantastic! My friends and I booked two campsites, and it was great. There's hydro and water, and it's a two-minute walk to the bathroom and a five-minute walk to the water. The seasonal campers made us feel right at home, joining us for a fire and a few beverages. They're incredibly friendly people. The owners are amazing and easygoing. We will definitely be back next year!

We had a great experience at Sleepy Hollow Campground. Sharon was very patient and accommodating during the booking process. Especially considering we had a last minute change of plans and she was still able to work us in. Check-in was friendly and easy, even though we arrived later than is, I'm sure, typical. 5/5 for Sharon, much appreciated! The campsite was fantastic. Large, well maintained and private. The road to get to the campsite was a fun adventure all on its own! There was some cardboard in the fire pit from previous campers upon our arrival, but thats understandable considering the fire ban and that campers are asked to burn their cardboard. It was no bother to us. The site was otherwise clear of garbage and debris and was very well maintained. The main bathrooms were clean and well cared for as well. All-in-all 5/5 for our Sandy Hollow stay. I look forward to staying here again soon, and will reccomend it to anyone looking to camp in this beautiful area.

Camped the middle of August. The owners and the few seasonal people we met were nice and very friendly. The sites for trailers were large with a few trees here and there. Not very private, but big enough to not feel you had neighbours on your doorstep. The beach was nice and the water was fairly warm . There is a dock and boat launch there which was perfect for our kayaks. The washrooms were always clean the whole time we were there. A couple of things that some people may not like are the electrical service is only 15 amps and there is no sewer hook up, though they do have a dump station they charge you for if you use it. This didn’t bother us, so it was no problem. This is now one of my favourite places I have ever visited and will be coming back as many times as I am able.

We arrived late on a Friday night for camping and was promptly helped by Sharon who got us in quickly so we could get set up. The park wasn't exactly like I had expected - the land is quite hilly, so make sure you have a decent AWD vehicle to get up to the campsites if you choose the wilderness sites - there are others closer to the lake. Our campsite was the furthest away and nice and private. The first night we did hear some of the typical loud idiots in the middle of the night but the second night was nice and quiet. You need to drive to the toilets and shower which were fairly clean for a park, which was nice. We brought a luggage loo just in case. We couldn't find the tap water but had enough water brought in. The beach is small but good enough for our boy to splash around in. Overall, we had a good couple of nights.

Overall a good campground. The site was a decent size, and we really liked that we were placed facing our friends - which we really like to do when possible. The grounds were clean, and when we arrived we were greeted by the owner who was very friendly, even some of the permanent residents waved as we came in - so it felt welcoming and not elitist like some private campgrounds can be like. There is a beach - I didn’t go - but was told by the teens that the swimming was great. Not a huge beach - but nice for swimming. Rules felt relaxed - meaning we never felt like we were being judged at any time. Mind you were were two families with teens and we weren’t really loud or anything. Dog friendly which is great too. The teens liked riding their bikes into the back trails, and although we didn’t have one it looked to be ATV friendly and I think you can ride on that back trail. It was a long weekend and we got to also watch a fantastic fireworks show that the campground participated in by donating money for the show. But there were a few little things: - 15 amp service isn’t great. We were constantly having to reset our power. I couldn’t run more than one thing at a time - like a fan and the coffee maker - that would blow a fuse. (and I didn’t even try the ac) - trailers really need 30 amp service. - wood was listed as $10 for a bag in the website, but was charged $12 - had to pay extra to dump - I don’t like that when campgrounds make you pay extra - we were already camping there - and I feel like when places do this they are nit picking. Can understand charging if we were just coming to dump - but we stayed for four days. - the dump station is in an awkward way - the slope by the hole has it so that the trailers and tanks are leaning away from the hole so you can’t get everything out when dumping. It also sucked that they didn’t have a hose to use to clean out the pipe afterwards. It was locked. We were told they locked it because people were using it to get fresh water - but seriously that could easily be unlocked for those who are dumping - especially since we had to pay extra to do this. - not the fault of the owners - but we had so many people constantly walk through our site - to me that’s poor camping etiquette and was upsetting my dog. Honestly I just think it’s rude - but that’s me. In the end we would go back, despite these few things - but would rather go only if they upgrade the electric situation.
