This privately owned campground distinguishes itself through its strategic location, comprehensive range of services, and a focus on providing a comfortable and well-equipped stay for both RV and tent campers, as well as those opting for camping cabins. This objective introduction will provide a detailed overview of the campground's environment, its extensive services, distinctive features, and any pertinent promotional information, making it an invaluable resource for local users and visitors planning their next trip.
The environment of Sleepy Hollow Farm offers a blend of accessibility and a semblance of natural tranquility, given its location. Situated at 1679 W. Waukau Ave in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, the campground is remarkably close to the EAA AirVenture Convention grounds and directly south of the EAA Museum, making it a prime spot for aviation enthusiasts during the annual fly-in. While not a deep wilderness setting, the campground benefits from being on the "edge of Oshkosh," providing a peaceful escape from urban noise while maintaining easy access to city amenities. The property itself features a mix of open, grassy areas and some tree cover, providing a park-like setting. Campers can choose between shaded and sunny sites, offering flexibility depending on preference. The terrain is generally flat, making it easy to navigate for vehicles and pedestrians alike. The surrounding area includes agricultural fields and other suburban landscapes, but the campground's internal layout and amenities create a self-contained environment for relaxation and recreation. During major events, the atmosphere within the campground becomes vibrant and energetic, with a strong sense of community among fellow attendees. Despite the potential for crowds during peak times, efforts are made to maintain order and cleanliness. The natural environment is enhanced by its proximity to various local attractions, including Lake Winnebago, providing opportunities for water-based recreation just a short drive away. The climate in Oshkosh experiences the full range of Midwestern seasons, with warm summers perfect for camping and cooler, often colorful, autumns, each offering a unique experience at Sleepy Hollow Farm.
As a comprehensive provider within the Campgrounds & RV Parks category, Sleepy Hollow Farm offers a wide array of services designed to maximize camper convenience and comfort. The campground boasts a substantial number of sites, with approximately 199 total sites, including 48 full hookup sites (water, electric, and sewer), and 130 sites with water and electric hookups. These RV sites are equipped with 20, 30, or 50 amp electric service, accommodating a wide range of recreational vehicles. For those needing easy access, there are 26 pull-through sites available. Tent camping is also well-supported, with 75 dedicated tent sites, some of which even include electricity for added comfort. In addition to traditional camping, Sleepy Hollow Farm offers a number of camping cabins, providing alternative lodging options for those who prefer more shelter or are new to camping. Essential amenities include clean shower and bathroom facilities, which are crucial for guest comfort. A sanitary dump station is available for RV waste disposal. For added convenience, laundry facilities are on-site, a valuable service for longer stays. The campground also operates a camp store, stocked with essential supplies, snacks, beverages, and firewood for sale, reducing the need for guests to leave the property for basic necessities. Wi-Fi access is available through central hotspots, allowing guests to stay connected. The campground management emphasizes being pet-friendly, allowing guests to bring their furry companions, typically with a leash requirement. During peak seasons, the campground often extends its hours (e.g., 8 AM - 9 PM from May 15 - Sept 15) to better serve its guests. For major events like EAA AirVenture, Sleepy Hollow Farm streamlines its reservation process, often requiring pre-payment for the entire duration of the event, and providing specific reservation forms. The presence of a welcoming host, Jeff Bartels, and responsive contact options via phone and email (info@sleepyhollowfarm.com) ensures good customer service.
The features of Sleepy Hollow Farm are largely defined by its strategic location and its commitment to catering to both general campers and specific event attendees. A primary feature is its unparalleled proximity to the EAA AirVenture Convention grounds, located just half a mile from the main gate. This makes it an incredibly convenient choice for AirVenture attendees, allowing for easy walking or biking to the event. Similarly, it's just minutes away from the main gates of Country USA and Rock USA, major music festivals, positioning it as an ideal lodging option for these events as well. Beyond event-specific advantages, the campground is designed with family-friendly features. While specific details on playgrounds or organized activities are not extensively detailed, the availability of a pavilion/rec hall and a pond suggests opportunities for recreation. The nearby presence of Lake Winnebago, just a short drive away, provides access to boating, fishing, and swimming, effectively extending the campground's recreational offerings. For golf enthusiasts, several golf courses, including Lakeshore Golf Course and Westhaven Golf Course, are within a 10 to 15-minute drive. Boat launches like Black Wolf Boat Launch and Fugelberg Park Boat Launch are also conveniently close. The range of accommodation types, from traditional tent sites to fully hooked-up RV sites and camping cabins, ensures flexibility for various camping preferences and budgets. The campground's ability to host special events, including family reunions, birthday parties, or corporate retreats, with capacity for 1 to 500 guests in a private setting, is a unique feature that goes beyond standard campground offerings. The combination of quiet relaxation areas with easy access to shopping, dining, and entertainment in Oshkosh provides a well-rounded experience for campers. The presence of seasonal sites also indicates a feature that appeals to long-term campers who wish to make Sleepy Hollow Farm their regular summer base.

The general season for the campground typically runs from May 1st to October 15th, providing a clear operational window. Daily rates for sites can vary, with historical ranges cited from $28.00 to $75.00, depending on the type of site (tent, water/electric, full hookup) and the specific time of year. However, it's crucial to note that rates for major events like EAA AirVenture, Country USA, and Rock USA are significantly higher and require specific reservation forms and pre-payment. For these high-demand periods, the campground encourages direct contact (877-438-6531 or sleepyhollowfarm@gmail.com) for current pricing and reservation details, as these often differ from standard nightly rates. The campground's website (www.sleepyhollowfarm.com) serves as the primary promotional hub, providing detailed amenities lists, reservation forms for special events, and contact information. While not explicitly stated as "discounts," the offering of seasonal sites can be seen as a promotional aspect, as they often come with reduced long-term rates compared to daily fees, and prospective seasonal campers are advised to inquire directly for pricing and availability. The convenience of being able to book directly through the campground or via reservation forms for major events is a key promotional benefit. The campground's pet-friendly policy is often highlighted as a promotional draw for pet owners. The consistent positive feedback regarding the campground's clean facilities, friendly staff, and convenient location, as seen on various review platforms, serves as organic promotional endorsement. Campers are advised to consult the official Sleepy Hollow Farm website or contact them directly for the most accurate and up-to-date pricing, reservation policies, and any specific promotions that may be running, especially when planning a visit during major local events.

Customer Reviews
5.21.25 We booked here for 2 nights online. Paid for and accepted the terms. A stupid thing to do. It was raining, the office closed. No one in sight. All the sites were underwater. We tried calling the phone number on the site. Doesn't work. We were contacted by a woman that told us we wouldn't get our money back and basically to eat the loss of our two nights fees. A total scam. A -1 star review.
Customer service is not this Rv Resort's priority. Call to confirm their location as it is not clearly visible on Google Map. The gentle man on the other line was extremely rude and was offended at my question . Take your money somewhere else. Go see Ms. Cindy at Hickory Oaks. You'll have a better overall experience.
Overall awesome small family owned campground. Prices are not bad and sites are a little tight but overall awesome little campground.
Everyone is so nice. The owner was very accommodating with a last minute reservation I needed. This campground is nestled just far enough in the woods to enjoy the peace and quiet but yet close enough to not have to travel far to get necessities. 10/10 highly recommend. I'll definitely camp here again.
New bathroom and shower building. But it was not kept clean. We were there for 2 nights. Dirty when we go there and worse when we left. Same hair and ick plus accumulation. They were not very busy. Had time to mow the grass but not clean the showers. Plus they charge for showers. Laundry facilities were out of order. No picnic table or fire ring at site. Open field with no shade . Location is close to EAA museum which was why we went there.
