Slidell KOA Journey

Dang near perfect! It's close enough to NOLA to be convenient but far enough to be away from the crazy. Pulling in the attendant checked the electric in our spot and immediately moved us to a premium site when he spotted problems with the service. The office staff was awesome suggesting restaurants and local tourist spots. The Crawdad chimneys in our spot just added to the charm. The only thing we would desire is public transportation to New Orleans.

Slidell KOA is definitely somewhere to visit! Such a beautiful place and the staff were so kind, well-mannered, and easy going! The bathrooms were immaculate, I forgot I was camping for a second! The only negative was the WIFI was down but we were greeted in the morning by the owner who informed us of the issue and that they were working on it. That being said for being brand new, they knocked it out of the park! Will definitely re-visit given the chance!

Slidell KOA Is a fairly new RV park here in Slidell Sections are still under construction.. That being said the amenities here are well thought out and great. The pool is beautiful and there is a large covered patio adjacent to the pool, store and check-in.. there is a fairly large pond, playground and several areas for barbeques. If you have dogs.. this by far is one of the best I've seen. There are at this point 2 general dog parks. However there are several RV sites that have smaller fenced in areas for the RVer's Personal use for their pets.. The restrooms and showers were impressive as well. Clean.. high tech mirror and continuous hot water on demand.. If in the New Orleans area (40 min to downtown) I would highly recommend Slidell KOA for your RV stay

I can't say enough good things about this KOA! It has a great location-just a few miles off of I-10. It's brand new and just BEAUTIFUL! Unfortunately, we only had one night to stay and didn't have time to take advantage of all the amenities, but we can't wait to come back and relax for a few days. We were in a standard pull-through site (#8) and it was level with a picnic table and plenty of room. The dog park was securely fenced with grass, and large enough for our fur babies to run and play! We arrived late, so we had to do and after hour check-in, but was provided with everything we needed to settle into our site. The host even dropped by to make sure everything was to our satisfaction.

KOA in Slidell, LA is a hidden gem. Although new, it is a well run campground. The only thing that would make it 5 stars is the water. I dont know if water spftener is added, but it felt like it was soapy. They did have a leak that caused the water pressure to go down, but it was fixed immediately. My son caught his first bass in their pond which made it a very memorable. Facilities were clean. Need more washers and dryers. Mr. Wolf and his family were the best hosts. Highly recommended RV site. Thank you, from the Valdes Family.

Absolutely Wonderful Stay at KOA Slidell, LA! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The hosts/owners are truly fantastic—welcoming, helpful, and clearly take pride in this beautiful park. The on-site store is well-appointed and offers fantastic prices, which was a pleasant surprise. Communication was top-notch from start to finish. The amenities and activities are outstanding: a sparkling pool, fun playground, clean grills, shaded common areas, and a great bark park for our furry companions. All the sites are lovely, but if you’re looking to elevate your stay, I highly recommend choosing one of the upgraded patio sites. Several of these even include a fenced paw pen, grill, fire pit, hammocks, and beautiful seating—one even has a gorgeous wooden deck! It truly feels like a private retreat. The layout of the park is well thought out with mature trees providing plenty of shade. It’s peaceful, quiet, and easy to access right off I-10. They’ve gone above and beyond here. We will absolutely be back! 🌲🔥🐾

We stayed for 4 nights at a deluxe patio site. The pool and office looked clean and new and everyone was nice and helpful. Location was good and area was quiet. Maybe my expectations were a bit higher when I saw the sign that this was a new KOA. The bathrooms with showers were not clean and the floor was slippery in the shower - you had to stay on the rubber mat or it was slick in the shower. The outlets could not take a plug from my blow dryer (which is a normal size plug and can fit in any outlet in our RV). The laundry room had machines that appeared to be 20 years old and it was pretty dirty. It seemed like they used the cheapest items they could find for the bathrooms and laundry.

This is an excellent spot! Clean, beautiful, quiet. Public restrooms were clean and spacious. They have a pool and a very nice dog yard with some obstacles set up. Safe walking areas as well. They have typically Louisiana mosquitos (state bird), so bring your bug spray. 10 out of 10 do recommend.

Nicest RV park in the area! Very well laid out. Really incredible private bathrooms, and very pretty and clean. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Very nice dog park and pool. The water is extremely soft, but I am not sure they can fix that. Seems like it's always that way when we are in this area. (and we have been here many times for the past 15 years and stayed at other rv parks) But if they could, would be great. Will definitely stay here any time we are in the area. Only wish you guys would have been here 15 years ago when we started coming down hehe. It is the nicest one in the area.

Jim and his wife , the General Managers are kind and accommodating beyond words! I arrived after hours, tired and needing a place to sleep. Jim saw my rig, opened back up the office and finessed a site for my wife and I when none were to be found. This kind of leadership and customer care should be rewarded with a raise - we loved them immediately and we highly recommend this KOA for it’s beautiful (NEW) pool, the level clean sites, crisp clean bathrooms and well-cared for BBQ pits, grills, dog park, and play spaces. We’ve traveled nearly 100 KOAs from Washington state east and this one is made special by its management in particular. Thank you Jim for a great stay! -Kurtis & Hitomi Holmes
