Beautiful place, but can get crowded on the weekend and be noisy (generators, dirt bikes music). Has vault toilets, and a few water taps. Good fishing, lake access boat launch close by. Great place to kayak and paddle board. Camping is first come first served, if you claim a spot and don't sleep there the first night you will get a fine $1,000.00

It's a nice place to go for swimming, small floatables like kayaks or paddle boards. They do allow boats at this reservoir, but it's really not a big body of water. There are about 10 parking spots for boat trailers. I would suggest that you would look at a Google map overview to see how many trailer boats you can park. If you choose to vote, get there early. The campground is not close to the water and they are cozy if you like your neighbors. The lake levels dropped surprisingly a good 20 ft, but it is still very beautiful and the waters are crisp and clean. Go enjoy it.

I'd give the campground 3 stars, but the reservoir 5 stars. The campsites are too close for comfort or even a bit of privacy, but the scenery is beautiful and the water is clear and not too cold to swim in during the Summer.

I'm sure this place could be nice in maybe MAY, but in mid-summer it was overly crowded, loud and noisy, plus lake levels low. It's a popular party spot for off-roaders and rowdy locals from the valley. Little Grass Valley Reservoir nearby is a much better choice if you like a quiet camp.
