This is the second time I've brought one of my 3 kids here for a weekend to do some camping and fishing. Made some excellent lifelong memories. To me it's not camping unless there's Pine trees and a campfire and this is the closest place like this to Sacramento. Big shout out to our camp host at the pinecone strip, John! He was super helpful with an issue I had with my boat trailer. This has now become an annual tradition with the kids. Can't wait to come back!
Our family has been camping here every year for about 10 years. There have been a lot of changes to our favorite spot over the years, but we have adjusted & been able to work through the changes! We Love it here & we will definitely be continuing our family tradition of camping here once a year! ❤️🙏⛺️💙
We boondocked at one of the group campsites for the weekend. This place is stunningly beautiful and the smell of the trees is gorgeous. If dogs are on leashes, they are welcome. The toilets at this area were pit toilets, no showers or other facilities available other than a giant fire ring/pit. There's a great walking trail around the lake.
Brought my young Girl Scout troop for two nights. Our camp host Jeff was friendly and helpful. We felt very safe.
