It is a beautiful, peaceful campground in a remote area near the lake but away from the traffic. 5 minutes to the lake, boat ramps, and/or boat rentals. Food markets are close with larger retail centers and grocery stores about 25 minutes away. I was so excited to have my first black bear siting not far down the mountain. Very pleasant!

My husband and I stayed here while he was in town for work. Enough good things cannot be said about this campground. The owners are amazing and make sure the property is safe and clean. Bathrooms are always spotless with amazing water pressure. This was a wonderful place to call our home away from home. I am confident in saying any bad reviews left are due to ppl not following the rules and getting upset when they are held to them. It should not be difficult as an adult to follow rules especially when you are on someone else’s property. Do yourself a favor and choose this campground if you are in the area. You won’t be disappointed:)

Wow! I stayed a couple nights in this beautiful campground, and I was able to get all the peace and quiet I was looking for. The entire campground and the facilities are well maintained, it's in nature and surrounded by woods like I hoped it would be, Smith Mountain and the giant lake are gorgeous and the fishing is great, and the campground's manager, Jeff, was incredibly helpful. I will definitely be back!!

We really had a great time here. The staff were phenomenal. The bath and shower rooms were the cleanest we have every experienced. Definitely look forward to going back.

We had a wonderful stay at Smith Mountain Campground! The park was quiet and clean, making for a very relaxing experience. While it didn't have laundry facilities on-site, there was a laundromat conveniently located nearby. The campground provided great access to Smith Mountain Lake, which was perfect for our outdoor activities. The owners, a really kind couple, made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend this RV park for anyone looking to enjoy the beauty of Smith Mountain Lake in a peaceful setting!
