Snaw Naw As Campground Introduce
Snaw Naw As Campground is a charming destination located at 101 Snaw-Naw-As Road in Lantzville, British Columbia. Situated on the oceanfront, this campground provides a serene setting for travelers seeking an outdoor adventure while being close to local amenities. Whether you're arriving by RV, tent, or looking to stay in one of their newly added cabins, Snaw Naw As Campground offers something for everyone.
The campground is renowned for its convenient location near a native reservation and the ocean, offering stunning views and easy access to beaches. The new cabins are a highlight, providing families with a cozy and affordable option to enjoy nature without roughing it too much. With RV sites equipped with hookups and dump stations, this makes it an ideal spot for longer stays.
While Snaw Naw As Campground has improved its facilities over the years, such as new bathroom buildings and laundry services, there are areas that could be better. Tent camping is available but may not cater to everyone due to limited shade and close proximity to RVs. However, the ocean views and beach access make it a worthwhile experience for those who enjoy being near the water.
- Location: Nestled on the oceanfront, offering breathtaking views of the water
- Accommodations: RV sites with hookups, new cabins, and tent spots
- Amenities: Laundry facilities, showers (with some limitations), dump stations

Guests have shared mixed reviews. Many highlight the beauty of the location and the friendliness of the staff. Families especially enjoy the new cabins and the beachfront access for activities like beachcombing. However, there are concerns regarding tent sites being overpriced and lacking necessary amenities, such as bear bins or adequate shade.
Snaw Naw As Campground is best suited for RV users seeking a comfortable stay with ocean views. While it's not ideal for those preferring traditional tent camping due to limited facilities, the new cabins offer a great alternative for families wanting a more convenient stay without losing touch with nature.

Customer Reviews
Amazing experience staying at the newly added cabins with my family. Beautiful location, reasonably priced, and welcoming kind staff. Close to amenities and quiet despite proximity to the highway. The kids spent literal hours beach-combing. Highly recommend.
My experience was a 2/5. This campground is not great for tenting and definitely not great if you are backpacking have no car. I believe this campground is much better for RV and semi long term use. It has hook ups for RVs and dumping right at the site which I can see is convenient. The bathroom facilities are new, with many sinks and stalls, three showers and one of which was out of order. The showers cost 3$ for 8 minutes but I timed it and they were only 7.5 minutes. It took me half that time to figure out how to get it warm, but even then the water pressure is so little that I could barely rinse my hair. There is no excuse for this in a new facility for an amenity that even has an additional cost. They are cheap on the water. There is very convenient and clean laundry facility which I was happy to use. The campground is situated on the ocean which I think is the best feature. It is also right next to a native reservation. The tent sites are pathetic and overpriced. No trees for shade, your view is the back end of the RVs in front of you and you get up close in personal with their sewage lines. Each site is given a picnic table however a few of them were not in good shape. For 47$ they should just not offer tent sites and only go with RV sites. No bear bin to place food as I was on vacation and didn’t have a car yet. Staff states there are no bears but without a car where should one put their food? Surely not in your tent if there’s even so much of a raccoon or bird it could tear through your tent. I was forced to either walk to find a tree to hang my food or place my food in a less than favourable location. The road noise near the tent sites is unbearable! The only way you could get a good nights sleep here is if you booked a more expensive RV site on the ocean further away from the road. The front desk staff were friendly. Overall don’t come here for a natureful experience or to tent camp.
Second time visiting this campsite and love it. Staff are friendly and helpful. Washrooms are modern and clean (plus hot showers!!). The location is perfect for us as it’s 20 minutes from downtown Naninimo and 20 minutes from Qualicum beach. I like that there is a shell and timmies right up the road. Most campsites have hookups which I like as a tenter to charge my tech. Wifi reaches to the far campsites and has a strong signal. The water is warm and great for a dip. We enjoy walking through the tide pools and have seen lots of cool stuff. Sunset is amazing too. Only cons are some highway noise and campsite are close together with no privacy. But I don’t mind as we spend most our time exploring the area.
very little i can say negative about this site. Beautiful place, friendly helpful staff, just a quality place. Almost don’t want to review to keep it as our secret! Only negative was the site sewer was 1’ off the ground, but i’m stretching. The he bathrooms were impeccable and SO clean as was the entire site
This is a nice smaller campground! Sites are very close together, which was a bit hectic for the long weekend but calmed down right after. The campsite has little bunnies running around, lots of nice trees, and the beach is very swimmable.
