Many appreciate the improved maintenance of facilities and enhanced customer service, particularly noting the impact of the current manager, Richard. However, previous issues with poor service during inclement weather are noted as areas for continuous improvement.

Customer Reviews
Tried staying at this establishment in November of last year. Not the best experience I must say. The cottage itself was 2 stars at best. The location wasn't the worst but the customer service was beyond grief when we were faced with an issue. I'm speaking up now because I was told a manager would reach out but we never heard from one. Positive note we had a lovely interaction with a female employee there. However the main issue was the fact that when we attempted to stay there and it rained, the electricity went out in our cabin. When we called the "maintenance" line we were offered a flashlight to "ease our problem" and then told it's best if we just went home. No sincerity or attempt to actually help. Yes I get that the weather isn't in your control but the person we spoke to was beyond rude. For a place that's actually pretty sweet the whole experience made us never want to come back.
The truth is, Snug Harbor is a secret gem on the Northern Delta. It can be difficult to get to when the ferries are not operational, but is well worth the trouble. Management has been up and down since it was sold to new owners a few years ago, but the newest manager, Richard, is making a huge difference. The grounds are being maintained, the units clean, and customer is service great. I have been coming to Snug for years, and staying here is the best it has ever been.
I have stayed at Snug harbor for about 10 years in a row now. It’s been an annual 5-day fishing trip I do with my close friends in the month of October. We try to stay in the same cottage (used to be called Snuggle Inns) 40 and 41 every year. Never had any issues the previous 10 years we’ve stayed at Snug Harbor. This year was different. I stayed in cottage 41 and noticed flies in the bedroom the first night. I killed all the flies in the room, but noticed they kept coming back. I looked around the bedroom for some food left behind or something, but didn’t find anything. The 4th night of my stay, I was lying in bed around 5:30am and heard what sounded like little feet. I was thinking to myself, maybe it’s an animal walking outside or something. Around that same time a rat ran across my face. I jumped up and yelled for my friend who came into the room. We looked under the bed and noticed a hole under the box spring where this animal is living. That day we were checking out and I let one of the grounds crew know what had happened. I sent an email to Snug Harbor the next morning and called in. When I called in, I tried to explain what had happened and the guy on the phone cut me off and said, I already got your email so you don’t need to elaborate on it. I asked for a refund on my stay at cottage 41 and he said, he has to submit the refund request, but if it was up to him, it would be a “big fat no”. I said, you had to have noticed the flies in the room every time you go in to clean it along with the animal feces. He said, we can’t control the rats or what they do. He said, you have to agree that this place is a lot cleaner than what it was when you stayed here in years past. He said, that they used to have rats on the counter tops and everywhere and that they have come a long way from that. He said, they had complaints of rats in the couches and the beds before. I told him, they need to get rid of that bed and box spring in cottage 41 and I wanted a refund of my stay in cottage 41. He said, would you take a 1-day refund. I said, I was sleeping with a rat for 4 nights and I wanted a refund for the whole stay as that’s disgusting. I told him, that I have a headache and the runs. He said, if you’re going there, I am not even going to submit your request for a refund and you can call a lawyer. It’s pretty easy for me to find out who owns Snug Harbor to send the complaint directly to them since it sounds like the front office guy isn’t going to move my complaint forward. This is also a concern for me. If the front office guy is blocking complaints from guests, what other complaints is he blocking from management? This will 100% be the last time staying at Snuggle Inn.
Loved it and will recommend it to others. This is a hidden gem. It’s quiet and far from the city. Beautiful views right off of the Sacramento River. The staff is very accommodating and overall just kind. They made us feel welcomed and the hospitality was more than we could ask for. They have a beach with a shower for you and your pet. There are plenty of docks and a boat launch. They have kayak and paddle board rentals. I really enjoyed my time here and am very fond of this charming rv park.
If you are looking for this type of place, then this is a five star place. If you are used to high-rise hotels in a big city this is not a five star place. So, Apples to Apples, oranges to oranges, this is the most wonderful place I have stayed at in a very, very long time. It is exactly what I was looking for. I stayed midweek. There was nobody around. It was so peaceful the few people around were quiet. The staff are super kind and friendly and caring. I felt like family from the time I made my reservation. It had everything I could think of to need. Including wifi since I'm always working...This slice of heaven will be my new place to run away to with little notice every chance I get. In fact, I will keep a bug out bag in my car, because, they have everything to make sandwiches and pints of ice cream and soda pop right here in the little store. All the essentials a girl could need for a little piece of mind at a very reasonable rate! I would highly suggest getting the instructions from the front desk as to how you can get here and avoid the ferry and tolls. I almost didn't write this review because I don't want people to know about this place too much. I'm afraid I might lose it when people catch on... and I barely just found it! Extra super thank you to the staff for everything!
