Small KOA but new and staff was awesome. Sites are fairly close but was quiet the whole time we were there. If you are looking for a campground with a bunch of stuff to do, this is not it. If you are looking for some quiet time and stunning views within driving distance to state parks and neat towns, this is the place for you.
Lovely camp ground, extremely well kept and clean. Everyone was very pleasant from the staff to the other campers. Nice concrete slab to park on with amazing views of the water. The bluff views are absolutely stunning.
Excellent campground. Well maintained and beautiful location - right on the lake - overlooking wonderful view! Bathrooms are relatively new and cleaned thoroughly each day. Management is attentive. Some spots have concrete pads to park on - making it very easy. Utilities are on both sides of the pad - so you can pull in each way without a problem. Spots are wider than other campsites I have been to. We will be back!
I didn't actually stay here yet. I took a tour. The views are awesome. The sights look a little tight, but workable. If you are looking to be alone in the woods for a few days, this is not the campsite for you. If you are looking for stunning views and camping friends, you need to be here
This is a new KOA, lots of seasonal campers and regulars. Everyone was nice but definitely had the feel of encroaching on seasonal homes, because the sites are so close together. Lakeview sites don't always mean lakeview, so I wouldn't pay extra for that at all. Unless they plan on doing some landscaping to actually see the lake. We were in site 38 and I know that the staff cannot do anything about bugs;however, the firepit is directly beneath the light. I was trying to explain this to the person I talked to but was quickly hushed and was told "it's mother nature hahahaha we can't do anything about the bugs!!" OBVIOUSLY. What I was going to say, was perhaps it may be a consideration of moving the firepit SO THAT it wasn't next to and under the light pole, so that, a campfire can be a bit more enjoyable without literally breathing in the bugs. It's camping, we know there are moths and bugs, I'm no city slicker. I'm just used to nicer KOAs, is all. Like I mentioned, feels like a small town seasonal campground that sold to the KOA. If you plan on exploring the area, and not being at the site much, this campground is for you!!
