Its a beautiful lake, lots of camping areas on both side of the road, There is private property up there so read the signs ask before entering private land. Its Idaho and every one carries guns. There is ATV uses with lots of hills to ride on. It is fairly close to Lewiston Idaho about 36 miles away and on your way there is Waha bar and grill closed mon and tue, opens at noon to 8pm. The road is long and dirt mostly, with a lot of pull outs no safety rails. Great for star gazing! Soldiers Meadow Reservoir is formed by Soldiers Meadow Dam which is part of the Reservoir A Dam which is part of the Lewiston Orchards Project. Recreation on this 124-acre reservoir with 4-miles of shoreline is administered by the Lewiston Orchards Irrigation District. Available species include rainbow trout and kokanee. Season open year-round. Site offers rest rooms, boat ramp, campground, and swimming. In the spring its a good area to pick moral mushrooms. great for all ages.
This place is so beautiful with the wild flowers. Spent about 10 days here during the summer of 2020 it was a great get away considering everything that was going on with covid-19.... Social distancing doesn't get any better than this....
