This is the perfect location for us! It is a short drive to our marina. The service is wonderful, and the people are kind and accommodating! The bathrooms are always clean, and the washer and dryer are a reasonable price. The hookups for our camper are great. We will be here a lot this summer!
We stayed here over night on a cross country road trip. Checked in late and had to leave before open, and despite never meeting management in person, they still managed to make this a wonderful stay for our family. Always helpful over the phone, very organized email communication, friendly campers, clean and comfortable restrooms and campsite, well lit main area, easy to understand night check-in packet that even included koozies and cards!
We choose this KOA for it's location to ride ATV'S. Everything is great.... the rooms are great.... the place is very well taken care of. You have almost everything you need right here.... I would stay here again and I would most definitely recommend it to anyone who asks. Great Job Guys
Quick commute to several lakes and restaurants and great onsite store for emergency supplies and treats. This is a medium size campground with several combinations of sites available (FHU 50/30, water only 30, tent spots and a few without utilities but dump station on site). Lots of green grass, play areas, dog park, and direct access to soo line atv trails. Staff is super helpful and friendly. Laundry and common areas are well kept and clean. Pretty expensive IMO at around $90/night for FHU 50 amp but lots of availability in contrast to other local campgrounds that seem to be booked up with seasonal folks.
Might as well camp in an open field. At least if you're on an end only one neighbor is watching you. Not exactly getting back to nature. The middle of a Walmart parking lot has more privacy. Average campsites, fire ring, picnic table. The hosts are trying WAY too hard with the activities. If I were on vacation, I'm definitely NOT sitting at a campground weaving baskets and singing koombia. KOA was a great thing in the 70's not so much anymore.
