South Holston River Lodge

If you’re looking for a top notch lodge to fly fish with phenomenal guides and lodge staff, this is definitely the place you for you! The food was incredible, staff is super friendly, and the guides are extremely knowledgeable. I’ve traveled to many fishing lodges and this is by far my favorite. Highly recommend and will be back this season!

Nice cabins with great meals. Fishing guides are exceptional. Last few roads getting there are narrow and a bit challenging. Location on the river was very nice!

A beautiful setting on the South Hoston River. The staff has been great and the food is fantastic!!! The fishing has been very good considering the heat (90's). The guides were excellent and they really knew the river and how to fish it.

There is no question why this lodge is constantly rated 5 stars! From the moment you arrive until the moment you depart, you are treated exceptionally! Every staff member makes a huge effort to provide everything needed to make your stay special - including being able to call you by name! The meals are fantastic! The accommodations are unique and very comfortable. The guides are all exceptional - they stay in contact with each other and share what is working or not. We have experienced the SHRL several years in a row - we always make reservations for our next stay before leaving! Jon Hooper is outstanding and strives to make your experience the best.

This is the eighth year we've stayed, and it keeps getting better! They really work to ensure everyone has a great time. Cabin was excellent, clean and fully stocked with beer and wine, the meals were excellent as always. Ron really knows how to prepare excellent food. Staff was extremely attentive to requests. We used Andrew as a guide and had a great time on the water, his knowledge and expertise made the days fun and fast moving. We've already booked another trip for next May and Sept.
