We stayed for 10 days in May. Quiet every day but Saturdays when it fills up, but still very tolerable at capacity. Beautiful setting, stunning sunset and sunrise, good fishing and convenient to town.
Nice for a quick over night camping trip. Staying longer would have been hard with no showers or flush toilets.
Love this campsite. They are lake view and have plenty of space. Outhouse bathrooms are located at this campground but no showers. The spot was $28 + $9 for a day use pass. The longs canyon hiking trail is walking distance but two mins into my hike I saw a black bear. It would get 5 stars if it weren't for the lack of showers and high prices.
Dry, hot, desert like camping. I prefer cold camping, but if you are looking for a lake to swim and fish in. and you dont mind dirt and dry climate- this is a nice place. There's picnic tables, well paved roads, vault toilets, and water access. We felt safe, and the area was taken care of. It's very close to town, but far enough where you don't feel like you're in the middle of it. A walmart is about 3 miles away.
A nice little campsite with bathrooms nearby. You get a great view of the lake, a grill and fire pit is there as well as a table with a cover which helps A LOT when it's hot. Only thing I have to complain about is these campsites are not just tent only so unfortunately we were surrounded by RVs that had generators going ALL DAY. So that took away from the quiet. They were asked by park rangers to turn it off at 9 or so which thank goodness. The people next to us had three dogs and didn't have them on a leash they looked a little aggressive barking at anyone who walks by. They didnt pick up their waste either as they let them go to the bathroom right in the center of their campsite since they had an RV. So If anyone reserves 105 on south shore look around for dog waste. I wish they kept that south shore just for tents. The generators like I said was a little annoying to hear constantly but other then that it was nice. It does get a little windy so heads up for that.
