Space Cowboys

The space cowboy domes are a great place to vacation on your trip to big bend. The domes were very spacious with comfy beds and a perfect view of the mountains and night sky. The staff is super friendly and are there to make sure your stay is a great one. Would come back for my next trip out here.

Loved our stay at Space Cowboys. We were the first to stay in pod 012 and we loved it. The view is beautiful and the stars were very bright. The flight seats were a cool touch. This is the perfect spot with easy access to Big Bend and Terlingua. Slava and the gentleman helping us with our luggage back and forth were great. Would definitely book again!

Space Cowboys was an unbelievably amazing experience! From the moment I arrived, the exceptional customer service made me feel right at home. The ATV ride to my Space Pod atop the hill was both thrilling and offered breathtaking views of Big Bend National Park, just a short 10-minute drive away. The pod itself was a delightful blend of comfort and whimsy, adorned with quirky decor and hidden alien figures that added a fun touch to the stay. The clean bathrooms with hot water, along with the efficient AC and heating system, ensured I was comfortable throughout my visit. One of the highlights was the mesmerizing night sky; the stargazing opportunities were unparalleled. I highly recommend Space Cowboys for anyone seeking a unique and memorable getaway near Big Bend.

We loved this place so much! It is on the outside of town and has the most amazing views. Slava the owner was very nice and accommodating. He offered to drive us and our things to our pod to avoid the hike uphill. The grounds, restrooms, and pods were clean and smelled nice. The space theme and alien figurines were a fun touch. The rooms had their own solar system lights and lasers making it more fun. It has its own trail to an overlook with great views. There was a fire pit for cooking. The rooms were equipped with fans, mini split AC, charging ports and a fridge. No microwave or restroom in the pods but that was fine with us. It is a short hike to the bathrooms but nothing our 5 yr old couldn’t handle. We would definitely book again!

What an unforgettable experience! After a few chilly nights camping at Big Bend during the coldest stretch of the year, we decided to skip our final night’s camp and book a pod at Space Cowboys. Within minutes of booking, we received a warm text from Slava, the kindest host ever, checking in to see when we’d arrive so they could prep and warm up the dome - such a thoughtful touch! To top it off, we got an upgrade to a larger dome. The interior was spotless and had everything we needed and more! The views were incredible, both under a starlit sky at night and at sunrise. Slava’s responsiveness was impressive, no matter the question or request, he was quick, accommodating, and genuinely kind. These little space stations nestled in the mountains are a must-visit for anyone seeking a truly otherworldly experience. The whole site is an adventure in itself, and we can’t wait to return for a longer stay!
