We love camping here our kids have fun riding bikes and fishing. We like having public bathrooms too. We would to see the docks replaced a new light by the boat dock as we use it a lot . We just worry about getting bit by snake cause you can’t see at night with the light out . The fish cleaning station is falling down . We still come here because we love this place but wish to see it fixed up and not forgotten about . The park manager is the sweetest lady !!!
Spent two nights here in December and it's empty except for people who drive through. Two campers side by side are camp hosts and are friendly. I agree with others that the noise from the turnpike is loud and somewhat annoying but if you're with a group you probably don't even notice it. I don't know what it's like if you're in a camper or RV but being an a tent or a hammock is just loud. It could use a little maintenance, this is the first campground I've been to that has a light bulb in the pit toilet but it's hanging loose and wires are exposed. Showers are still open and the bath houses are heated which is a plus. It's right off the river and if you like breezes this place has them and in the winter ... well they are that much cooler. It has a nice playground and a pavilion and you can load and unload your boat on the river. The campground is real no trash laying around no bottles no cans. Several fishing docks and a fish cleaning station. I'll be back in the spring and fall to take a chance on catching a few. I have T-Mobile and service is spotty and I wouldn't try calling someone but texting works fairly well.
Stay here all the time ! Clean quite and beautiful. The camp host is amazing. Pet friendly and very clean restrooms
Love this quiet and quaint little COE Campground. Thirty seven campsites, mostly 30 amp with some 50 amp service sites. Playground, Pavillion and a boat ramp. Would give five stars however many sites are dated, could use some updating
Didn’t know it was cash only payments! But Brenda let me stay the one night here for free - I’ll be sure to be back with friends whenever I’m in the area!
