Great Park. Clean and well hosted campground, space between the sites, all sorts of trails, and short hikes. ample wildlife for a homan occupied area. Don't miss out on the shoreline. come by car, by boat, by bicycle. this is a solid choice.
Stayed at the walk in sites right down on the beach. Large camp sites with picnic tables and a fire pit/BBQ area. Quiet. Gets the morning sun but shady later. A pit toilet and fresh water is available. Pay station is located down here.
Nice campground with really friendly and helpful camp hosts. The beach isn’t super great for swimming but it’s still fun. The bathrooms are clean. We had a great time and loved exploring the island. Cell service is super spotty to non-existent on the whole island but on the left of the spit you can get the best service. This was important for me as I was camping with kids and extended family but my husband was at home.
What a great find on Lopez Island! The trail to the beach was beautiful. Opens up to view of Frost Island. Bike and Kayak rentals available, too! There was a large logjam along the whole shoreline, except the marsh area. It looked very old as the wood was already white-washed. Not sure if the accumulation of logs is from years of storms or previous logging activity as visitor center was closed during my visit.
Natural Spit. lagoon. Beautiful Friendly Ranger Very approachable. He has a hot tub! Lucky duck. They will help with gates to beach. Covered shelter off water Beautiful camping Empty end of July- September.
