It's a remote campground in the Mt. Greylock. My first backpacking experience in the wilderness. Quite good experience. And the campground was clean and well apart. The firewood is available upon request. The caretakers will deliver the firewood to the campground after 7 pm. They take request between 5-7 pm. They are friendly and will provide you with the details. Even though it's summer the weekend I spent there, the temperature was around 50s. So be prepared for that.

A visit in January so the camping stuff was mostly put away, that being said still a convenient halfway stop between Trailhead and Mt. Greylock Summit. Lots of campfire, grilling and camping areas.

Very clean and a it was a great hike in from the farm. There was a ranger who delivered wood. The water from the hand-pump was excellent....... no taste of any additives and very cold. Can't wait to return.

Hike in only camping 1.5 miles to car with great sites, choose wisely some are way more secluded, and watch out for the douchebags that steal your wood bundles!

Very sad to learn that after being closed for four years they are completely renovating the campsite to add running water and buildings. There is no end in sight to the construction and after all of this it will no longer be the primitive campsite that we know and love. This was my favorite place to camp, but I won't be going back when/if it opens again.
