We stayed for the Ledgestone open. The staff are friendly and amenities are clean. Come nightfall everything is quiet and peaceful. We will be back next year.

Beautiful spot on the river - paved roads & sites, as well as easy access for big rigs; close to restaurants & shopping. It is usually very busy/crowded in the summer so call for a reservation. It is also an older municipal campground so it needs a bit of sprucing up - but for the fee it is a great value. The staff are very nice & welcoming.
We have stayed here before , it appears something has changed and for the better . Definitely getting cleaned up and a good place to stay for the money . Needs a camp host or park ranger to keep an eye on nighttime activities.
This is a wonderful campground that is not only clean and well maintained, but ENSURES the security, safety, & welfare of all campers. Amanda is not only friendly, but is easily approachable and is readily available to answer any questions and concerns. She and Brad kept us informed of events that were occurring during our stay. (the demolition of the bridge, etc, keeping all of us aware and safe) She and Brad and the Park District crew ensure that the grounds and facilities are clean, working, & well maintained. Additionally, I am grateful for the presence of the Fondulac Police Department & East Peoria Police Department for their regular patrols through the campground. We can't wait to stay again! We had a great campsite. Restrooms were clean. Rates were great. We’ll be back.
