Had a great time last weekend, we booked site #51, pretty large, with just electric and no water hookup. Bit of an incline to back the camper into its spot but it’s a nice tucked back site you could say, biggest downside is the only level ground on this site is right where the camper parks and then from there is pretty uneven and downhill. The fire pit is even more downhill and closer to the next site so if you’re looking for privacy by the fire I’d look at a different site, you can see in my pictures how close it is. Looked like each site does indeed have a picnic table and fire pit provided. Electric panel I will post a pictures of for all who are curious what hookup is like. All sites on that side by us were back facing the hillside just FYI. Bathrooms were about what you’d expect at a campground, nothing new, nothing super clean (forgot to take a pic), the rest of the campground was well kept though. Bonus is it’s dog friendly, just can’t leave the dog onsite while you are gone. We didn’t have time to explore much as we did most things around the Duluth area instead, but wish we had time to bring to kids for some activities at Spirit Mountain or go hiking on the trails. We would go back for sure!

We have been here two times over the last couple years. This is one of our favorite campgrounds! The location is perfect, close to Duluth but far enough out so you can avoid the traffic. The adventure park is fun for the whole family! The washhouses have seen better days but they are always kept clean!

Nice wooded campground fairly private and decent bathrooms. Some of the electrical and water locations are backwards or in funny locations.

Nice, clean, and peaceful campground. Most spots were well secluded, especially the walk in tent sites. The sites were spacious and well shaded with mature trees. The bathroom and shower building was clean and well kept. Online reservations and info were easy and helpful. Another cool component was hiking trails galore and great downhill mountain biking trails right from the campgrounds. We jumped onto Superior Hiking trail and had a nice relaxing hike and were back to the campground for lunch. Jay Cook State Park is 15 minutes away, downtown Duluth and lift bridge are 10 minutes away. Just an all around great location. We'll definitely be back here to camp another time.

This place is great! Not 1 single mosquito. They must spray the living daylights out of the place, but it's worth it's weight in gold. All else is as you would expect from a campground. Bonus, great spot for mountain biking. Ride down in the morning, and then close out at the end of the day, all without getting in the car.

Absoloutely loved this campground! Love the trails (clearly marked along the way, but wish there was a map out front). The surrounding flora & fauna, cleanliness, serenity, privacy, ease & proximity of location, all of its fabulous! We checked in after the office was closed and it was easy peasy. As mentioned in other reviews, the water pressure is extreme, make sure you check your camper for leaks (we’ve never had this problem). But wasn’t a big deal, a little inconvenient, and glad we caught it. Also, site 15 has a poorly placed water hookup. These two are the only somewhat negative things, but we will definitely stay here again!
