Great location. We did a weekday camp to avoid crowds, we got what we wanted. Just enough ppl to not bump into anyone. Really well taken care of facilities. Don’t get a site next to garbage cans. Campers slam the doors and not good for sleeping kids Site ground was hard so the tent pins/pegs weren’t strong enough to for the hard ground

This spot is so beautiful a bit of a drive up the mountain but so worth it! All first come first serve the area was very clean the bathrooms were spotless, sites are close together but with the trees in between you cant see anyone else. I would love to come back for a chance to check out all the hiking trails near by.

This was the best get away wilderness camping. The road to get there is curvy and bumpy but what are you expecting when going into the Wilderness so you ride slow and that allows me to saw a mama bear and her Cobb and take picture. I took site 53 the last one as I wanted privacy and I had my own little trail to get to the lake. I could see the Rv next to me through the trees but I never saw them. Decent size lots . Screen tent 12 x 12 plus a small tent 6 x6 and i could park 2 vehicles. The beauty of the mountain around is stunning . From the campground there is trails to get higher up and see even greater view, easy to access. Dry toilet only , no water. My only regret is to have not brought a heater. I stayed there 3 nights and the days are short , the sun comes up at 8am , it did rain at 3 pm every day and by 6 pm it is cooling off already. Bring gear for 4 seasons in 1 day haha! I will definitely return with a heater. The manager is welcoming and easy going. Price is 31$ per night. Cash or credit.

Such a beautiful spot. I can’t wait to camp here again. The views were breathtaking. The sites are a good size. There are porta potties & a water pump. We seen a deer go through camp the first morning. The sound of the lake at night is so soothing. Not too far of a drive to Canmore. It is FCFS with self registration. Highly recommend checking this gem of a spot out. No cell reception

The campsite is very clean; they have completely changed it, which is a shame because we loved the way it was before. The far side of the campsite has been permanently closed, and some parts of the forest have been cut down. Now, the near side of the campsite has more space for recreation, but this has reduced the distance from other people. We loved this campsite for its natural setting, tranquility, and seclusion from others.
