Really nice, secluded campground on the backside of Crescent Lake. Most of the spots are RV, and tent, but there are a few tent only spots right along the lake that are great! The camp hosts are cool, and generally swung by a couple times a day (morning/night) to make sure everythig was going well. There's a place to launch boats at the campground, as well as potable water spigots, trash/recycling bins, and vault toilets.
Our family has enjoyed Spring CG for many years. Camp sites are spacious, newer vault toilets. Sites along the lake have a little more trees and shrubs for privacy but the sites are so big it helps. Grounds are kept clean. Cell service is ok for texting but not much else (Verizon) Overall we love this campground. This year......WAY to many BIG groups. One regular site...they only had 4 guys...but 4 tents and 4 cars! All in their site! And it was a lake site that has a lot of trees and brush. 2 of the double sites were booked together. At one of the sites they had 8 rigs parked! WAY TO MANY PEOPLE! The reservation site says 12 people.... max num of vehicles 2. I don't know how many people were at the sites but WAY more than 12. If you have rules they HAVE to be enforced!....how about Forest Service law enforcement being there. The camp host can only try to get people to comply.....they are not law enforcement. If we continue to allow this in our campgrounds soon we will not have campgrounds because they have been used and abused
The campsites were bigger than typical, our smoky had a great time. The lake is pretty low, that’s definitely sad to see. We had to improvise and put the jet skis directly from the beach. Bathrooms were clean and stocked.
Pretty good but there were lots of loud people and dogs
