Always a beautiful and quiet respite. Easy nature trails for the whole family (kids & grandparents) with beautiful views of the Spring mountains. It has been a dry year so there was only a trickle of water to explore in the creek, but still beautiful. We heard (but didn’t see) the wild burro. Bring a picnic to enjoy on the grounds.

My sister and I went to this park during May 2024. It was absolutely gorgeous and peaceful. There was plenty of parking and space for families to enjoy the day out. There was also a tourist home with hidden rooms to explore with the tour guide and free roaming cows. It was also a perfect location with multiple hiking trails that had different difficulty levels. Some areas did get a bit sandy, so make sure you bring the right hiking shoes. I would definitely come back to explore the harder trails.

Great place to see some nature, if you've gotten enough of Las Vegas. Great hikes. The towering rocks are beautiful. There are also a few giant brown cows. The visitors center is also great. The inside feels very home-y. It explains the history of the Ranch very well. Many open fields. Good for dogs. Very family friendly. Just a great place to see some nature.

Definitely worth the $10 if you take the time to do all of the trails. Highly recommend going to the Lower Ash Grove loop. It offers a much more shady and cool hike during the summer than the sandstone canyon trail. I'm taking a star off because they don't allow up close access to any of the features of the park - everything must be viewed from a distance. To be fair, there are many endemic species in this park, but I still feel as though the canyon trail should actually go into the canyon.

The history of this ranch is so interesting. From all the owners and The Krupp Diamond 💎 to Buster Wilson. Hiking trails are doable even for me. Highly recommend going and spending the day. Bring a picnic.
