I have stopped for lunch at Spring Mountain for lunch but with all the road construction I don't even know if it is open now. When the road is completed it will be easier to pull in with the new roads. Nice little community. Lots of peace and qiiet. Plenty of free parking.
Beautiful mountain range in southern Nevada topped off by Charleston Peak at nearly 12,000 ft. Higher elevations abound with Bristlecone and other Pines, Ponderosa, Cedar, and Douglas Fir. Wildlife includes lotsa birds, wild horses, feral mules, some puma, deer, squirrel and many more. Many picnic, hiking and camping areas. Also Skiing in winter.
The Spring mountains are gorgeous. Fabulous place for a nice hike and great photo opportunities everywhere!
