Dude! If I could give this place more stars I would! We spent two weeks chilling at this place on top of the mountain. Towards the weekend we had neighbors but most of the week it was us and the animals. It's a bare bones campground so be prepared to do without luxury! The camp host is awesome and the lady knows her business and her mountain! If I could, I'd never come off the place!

Wonderful host. One of the cleanest and calmest campgrounds we've had the pleasure of staying at. Bonus is having a deer wander through the site in the middle of the day! Definitely worth getting here early to grab a spot, we can't wait to go back!

Such a great campsite! Beautiful and quiet! It is basic- it doesn't have running water/shower and the road that leads to it is very rough and confusing to navigate but it's easy to overlook all that when you're there and experience encounters with wildlife at all times of the day. *Just don't do what we did!!* We came in exhausted and went to sleep immediately after setting up our tent and building a fire without reading the rules of the campsite. They have a lot of strict rules (i.e. that fire has to be completely out with no embers when asleep) and you need to follow them carefully in order to avoid getting heat from the campsite's ranger/host. But she was super nice after we were schooled on the rules. Lol Overall, we loved it and hopefully will return someday in the future!

This has been the most enjoyable USDA campground I've been to. The host is just amazing, the sites are well maintained and clean. We even got day passes to Rampart Range Reservoir! This is 100% worth every penny and more! It has restrooms which were clean and even smelled pleasant. The fire pit and picnic table was a welcome addition as well. 10/10 overall.
