We stayed in spot 003 and had a great time. Even though storms blew in on us, it wasn't super windy for us with the rocks surrounding you. There's limited shade during the day at this spot as well. You're right next to the trail and restroom. So if people hiking in or out is an issue for you or using the bathroom at any time, this isn't the spot for you. We will definitely be back when the water is warmer.
This campground was amazing and the campground host was nice and helpful, we had spot #3, which was directly next to parking and toilets(if you want a unit across the bridge more secluded this is not the one yet was nice with young kids to be closer to our car) it wasn't the layout I was picturing in my head yet better than I could have imagined. We'll definitely be back when the water levels aren't so high. The vault toilets were decently clean for what they are. The nights were dirastically colder than we were prepared for bring all weather gear.
Super tenting place! Great spot ….. #9. About 300 m from the parking area!
Such a cute camping spot! This was our first time camping here and I would definitely come back over and over again. Right next to the river and you can hike and rock climb literally anywhere. The chipmunks and prairie dogs were so cute and curious too. The camp hosts were kind and helpful making sure we were taken care of and that the whole site was clean. It gets very cold over night so make sure you pack accordingly. The river is great to swim and walk in and the views are fantastic.
This is a small campground where most the sites don't have much privacy. There is a small river running through one side, and across the little bridge are great tent sites. There's a fence along the backside of the loop where there's private property. All of that being said, we enjoyed camping here. The rock formations are pretty cool and the little river is great. You can also catch the trail to Lizard Rock that meets up with a couple of other trails. The camphost was also nice and helpful.
