Customer Reviews
My first review got deleted, so I'll try again. My first review was also very polite. Not this time. SUMMARY: DO NOT STAY HERE. It is an arm-pit of a grassy parking lot with horrible river access. I was misled regarding accessibility for my 43' toy hauler. He told me to "use the exit" to enter, which isn't even on their land (it belongs to the neighbor, who was the only bright spot of our stay- he was awesome). As a result, I damaged the rear corner of my RV due to the steep decline down the driveway. None of the pictures on their site accurately depict the campground. Perhaps YEARS ago, but not now. The picnic table was rotten and nasty. Weeds were 12 inches tall and all throughout the "parking" area and site. If you just need a place to plug up and dump tanks, this is fine. But don't expect a nice "river side" camping experience. For that, go down river about 5 miles.
Called here to try and make a reservation and the woman who answered the phone was rude. She didn't even answer the phone like a business. I had to ask if it was a campground. She didn't want to make the reservation for me because it was too far out and she said she didn't want to kick out her full-timers for someone only wanting to stay for a weekend. I was trying to book a year out, but maybe she has full-timers staying more than a year out or something, not sure. She wouldn't explain it to me, so I had to hang up.
Spent Mother’s Day here and I have to say, it was a wonderful experience! We drove 7 hours with the intention of hiking the Devil’s bathtub, but upon waking the following morning (after sleeping in 30 degree weather) no one was up for a long hike. The very nice gentleman that owns the grounds didn’t want to see the trip go to waste, so he offered to take us on a rafting trip down the amazingly peaceful river. It was one of the best Mother’s Day Weekends I’ve had. We will definitely be making that trip again once it warms up so we can do the hike that we had intended on taking. And we definitely will be staying at this site again when we do! Amazing experience!!!
Found this little gem through an internet search and couldn’t be more satisfied! One of the best customer service experiences you could ever receive, from a campground or outfitter company! The owners are very personable and friendly and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and complete with things to do. We didn’t even ask, but they provided kayaks for us to use at our convenience to float up and down the river! It’s the perfect size and location, right on the river, and loved the personal touches. The concert on the river was amazing! Great music and even better people! You’ll not find a better place to camp! The owners are just top notch, honest, and accommodating to meet your every need! Will definitely be going back!
Very clean, campers are friendly. The camp sites are well maintained. The location is beautiful. Highly recommend.
