Wow what a great place to visit and camp. We will definitely be back. The camping area itself was very nice. Hot shower and laundry on site. Staff were very nice. The beach very clean and water very clear. It was colder when we stayed but did not mind due to everything being on point at this campground. Love love love

Great place to relax and walk and see God’s creation! Plenty of trails and beach. Beautiful white sand and marvelous dunes! (Please show some respect and don’t play on the dunes! Stay on designated recreation areas!) Great views of the Gulf o’Murrica! There are a few small shops and a place to grab some food, although we just came to walk around. There is a large pond, aptly named Gator Lake. Stick around and you’ll probably see some wildlife!

We visited with our airstream. The park is having some major construction being done but the campground is not really affected. The sites are small but nicely laid out with gravel so they are clean. No real shade except on a few sites on the west loop. We were there during one of those motorcycle events so the town was a bit crowded and noisy. The beach was lovely. It’s not much on being in nature however. There was one trail that was very short with mosquitoes around alligator Lake. Saw a few deer. We prefer a park that isn’t surrounded by so much touristy stuff but I did enjoy my morning walks as the sun rose up over the horizon. The bathrooms were very clean and well maintained. It was nice to have water and sewer on site with no separate dumping required. If you get a chance and you are there on a week day, and you close to raw nature check out the local springs. Williford, Pitt and Sylvan Springs.

This is a beautiful state park!! We stayed in site 99 which has a view of the bay. It I’m easily fit our 36 ft fifth wheel and truck in that spot with no problem. The employees do a great job on keeping the sites and park looking spectacular! There is plenty of walking paths (meaning roads) to walk or bike on and feel safe. You can drive, walk or ride your bike to the beach access area. The beach was clean, not crowded and enjoyable. Very quiet at night which is nice. It was a peaceful place to visit on our vacation.
