It was fun to walk downtown last night. Lots of ice cream shops! Went to the No Name Bar and White Lion for a short bit each... enjoyed the music. White Lion was much more packed on the dance floor, so we stayed more off to the side. It was unfortunate though at No Name they stop making mixed drinks at 8pm... sign said.. but then they made me one, but not one on the menu- very confusing. Still a quaint area, I visited the fort many years ago. I think when I have more time there I'll get to tour around more, seems loke there is some stuff to see. The drive along A1A is beautiful. But 1 bridge cost $3 - make sure you have cash!!!
This is a very exclusive beach. There are only a few beachfront hotels & they are a little pricy. While I did not check into renting a house or condo, most of the beach are these types of residences. There is a really wide beach and lots of unique shells. I loved, loved the restaurants in the area. The Saltlife & Crabbys were my favorites. Other than the beach, St Augustine had many historical places to visit. The St Augustine Lighthouse is a must see while you are in the area. The beach is pet friendly so you will see a lot of people walking their dogs. Dog owners are very good about picking up after their pets.
Nice beach area...cool young diverse affluent crowd going to nice fun spendy eateries...beach is safe & low stress...enjoy!
Cleanly, relaxing, nice people, beautiful ocean and sand. Not crowded at all in March which was fabulous. You can drive your 4x4 on the beach with a $10 fee for the whole day which is awesome! Really loved my first visit to this beach.
What a great sunset, even though the sun does not set it rotates, but anyway. It’s great..
