St. Augustine Beach KOA Holiday

For the price paid, this was a big disappointment. Yes, they are close to downtown St. Augustine, as we came for the Christmas Lights, so they get 5 stars for location. But overall this facility needs to be remodeled for the price they are charging. The woman's bathroom was really gross, stunk like urine or a used feminine product left in the trash too long. The spots were tight and didn't have dirty water connections. The "lake" wasn't usable and looked scary. I never found the "dog park" they advertised. Everything was outdated and unappealing. Don't waste your money here and I won't be staying here again.

We were very happy with the location. Right by the beach, plenty of stores nearby, very quiet campground and all of the staff were very nice and welcoming. Campsites were very clean, picnic tables, a cute little pond and bathrooms are very close to the campsites. We enjoyed our stay here and will absolutely be back! Pool was well kept and clean although we didn’t use it. You can tell they keep the grounds nice. Perfect for a little getaway by the beach! Also, a trolley that can take you to Downtown! Fun for kids or if you don’t have a vehicle with you! Extremely close to Old Town of St. Augustine. Which has many restaurants and cute shops.

This place is amazing, clean, secure, customer service,1/4 mile from Saint Augustine beach, a few miles from Saint Augustine Historic Downtown, there is a trolley that pass by the Koa RV Camp, to pick you up, and take you to the historic place for a tour, (for a price), but this can not be more convenience, you don't even have to move your car. I really like this place, and plan to be back soon.

Wish I had done more research. If you're just sleeping here and not planning on spending time here, you're fine. If you want to spend time outside at your RV, look elsewhere. We paid for a premium site, but it was basically unusable. Lakeside sites are too tight - the patio was tiny and overgrown, and we stepped out of the camper into dirt (mud actually because it was raining). The grass was a big hill (site 81) and unusable. They're charging $$$ for premium prices, so we expected a better site. We canceled our last night. Reading reviews afterwards, there are lots of reviews like this, but it doesn't seem like they're actually looking to improve those sites, just saying "we know those sites need work, and we're working on it."

We appreciate the staff and they are very accommodating. The park is beautiful and well maintained. The restrooms and showers were spotless. They clean all day and it shows. The laundry room was also top of the line we really appreciate the large gas dryers..They are definitely a KOA Holiday. We loved it so much we didn't want to leave.
