Customer Reviews
I was so excited about this location. When I first opened the door it looked nice and clean. When I started cooking something, the pots and pans had food residue and the plates and cup where disgustingly dirty with chunks of food stuck. The utensil drawer was extremely dirty and full of crumbs of all kinds. The bed sheets were full of some random people's hair (a lot of hair all over the sheets and pillow cases) I was very grossed out and very disappointed. It was too expensive even if it was in great condition. I felt like I got ripped off fir sure. *Cabin was too small for the price. *Cleanliness should be a #1 priority. *Please change the sheets. Even if they look clean *Dishes should always be inspected for Cleanliness
We stayed one night at this campground at that was enough. We had our RV and the site was ok. We had trouble with our water pump so we booked this place for the showers and bathrooms. The bathrooms were disgusting. The garbages weee over flowing the toilets were plugged or dirty and the showers were all filthy. I understand it’s not prime season but this was so gross. It’s worth going down the road to Quail Creek nice and clean facilities.
Stayed in a cabin for one night. I’ll let you form your own opinion based off my experience. I called the day of for a reservation that night. I asked for 2 accommodations. 1. That all the bedding be taken OUT of the cabin because I’m sensitive to perfumes. 2. That all the windows be opened. Now, keep in mind, they said they wouldn’t drop any room charges by removing bedding. I thought that was fine since I was asking them to do more work! Either way, they said they’d accommodate my requests. I get to the cabin. The bedding is all under the bunk beds(still in the cabin). There’s animal hair and dust everywhere. The tub looks like it’s been months since it’s been cleaned. The blinds all reeked of cigarette smoke. The dishes had food and smudges on them. The pull out couch(a bed they mentioned would be used for our 6 person group) never had the bedding taken off. There were PEE STAINS ON THE MATTRESS, food and drink messes in the fridge. I did not tip my housekeeper because there was nothing to tip them FOR. We had nowhere else to go and the after hours ‘help’ was less than friendly. The office reeked of perfume so badly when I went to check out I had a migraine for the next day. I will NEVER return to this KOA and frankly, they’ve swayed my opinions on ALL KOA’s now.
The people in the office are really nice and aim to please and make sure your stay is good. Our first site was terrible. It had a big slope with rocks so stepping out of the trailer was iffy at best for slipping. We notified the office we were going to leave due to the site and they found us another one in flatter ground. The entire campground is on a slope, some areas worse than others. There is very little room between camp sites. We had maybe three feet between us and the one next to us. It is a quiet place and down in a little valley so that was very nice. There is construction on the road to them which does not hinder traffic. Since we only stayed for a couple of days it wasn't bad. However, we had stayed at a KOA in Green River and Colorado Springs that were fat better with more elbow room.
This place has potential but it is severely lacking. The sites themselves are fine, pretty level and enough space. The workers seemed nice, but that is where it ends. Most of the "Amentities" were not usable. Mini golf...unusable, the pool table....no cues, pickle ball...no paddles. The bathrooms were not cleaned the 3 days we were there (my son saw used condoms in one of the men's showers). The pool was nice but very chlorinated. There was no hot water in the bathrooms. The laundry which was nicely air conditioned required an app to use the machines and you couldn't just load the amount you needed, so it cost way more than it should have. The location is ok. It is fine if everything else is booked, but I would suggest elsewhere if you can find it. This is the first KOA we have stayed at where we had issues.
