Surprised to find this location having so many awesome options after we were looking for a grocery store and finding only convenience stores. It's on the PCT so it makes sense that it has a lot of camping things, but even mini laundry detergent and other items. Rad! My son really enjoyed the pizza. Wood bundles were expensive-ish but very convenient so worth it. Nice staff too!

I’ve had the privilege of camping at many different campsites throughout San Diego county and this was the worst one ever the store at the campsite closed I don’t even know where to start on describing this campsite bees were in the pool constantly swarming the pool dying in the pool. The temperature was 110 there were no activities except an old basketball and an old Pickleball. The campsite itself was a Ghost Town. It could’ve held over 100 people and there were two myself and another camper having my grandson with me I would not recommend this campsite. The store at the campsite would close at five and the three days we were there two of the three days the store was not open at all, I’ve never been to a campsite like this ever I have no idea where those four star reviews Came from, but this is no way of forest star campground

We have just taken a couple of nights off the PCT trail to rest up and let our feet heal, and we couldn't have found a better place to do just that. The showers are great, bathrooms always clean and tidy. Laundry room is great, and that swimming pool is the cherry on the cake. Major wasp issue around the pool due to a nest on the corner of the building beside the pool. Owners notified, so I'm sure that will be resolved. Lovely staff, great place to hang out.

Chris sent us down here to try what he called A-W-W: Anastasia wiener Wednesday, "the best wiener dog in the west coast"! So once we came down all the way from Julian to put Chris' word to test, I'll tell you what he did not disappoint. Anastasia's wiener was the best I ever had for sure! Give it a try and make sure to get it Chris style: hotdog, mayo, mustard, relish, onion, pressed on a panini press, and in that EXACT order. Anastasia's weiner will leave your mouth watering! 15/10 would recommend!
