We spent a few hot nights in the campground. Everything was very nice that the owners can control, making sure we knew where we could go for bad weather and had nice bundles of wood to buy. Very large sites for campers. Recommend bringing protection from bugs (they really like this area from what we have found, not just here) and some sort of shade as the trees are small yet. Bathrooms were rustic with curtains over doors for all stalls but were clean and did the job of a nice hot shower. Overall we enjoyed our stay and plan to come back next year. Owners were very friendly and helpful even have a little store for things you might have forgotten or ice cream for the hot days and a bar in the basement of the lodge.

We truly enjoyed our stay here! The location was spot on for what we wanted to do in the western UP. Close to waterfalls, close to town and a bonus little lounge in the lodge with a cool bar! Very clean bathhouse. Store on-site. Cute pond for a little dip or fishing. Owners were very helpful on ideas for fun things to do in the area. Quite buggy at night, but where isn't it? Definitely come prepared for that. Only downside is we didn't get much sky viewing but that's only because we were so tired from hiking all day!

A wonderful place to camp. The owners are very friendly and have a wealth of knowledge of the area and are happy to share that, we have been there twice in the last month and Brittany gave us the same care and attention She did the first time we were there even though we were just there and knew much of the information she still treated us as if it was our first time and made sure we knew everything we needed to. We did not walk all the way back to the river, The first time we were there however, this time my dog was determined we were going that far and let me tell you it is breathtaking. If you haven’t hiked back there it is a must see they are right on the Black River, It is beautiful. It is an easy hike from the campground area. I have added a picture of our campsite and camper for reference as to where the hook ups are located
