Clean and well kept. New picnic tables and bear safe storage containers were appreciated. Due to the recent storms there were a lot of trees down on the trails. Even though there had been a lot of rain the trails were nice. I wish they would not put the larger rocks on the trails for erosion control. Horses don't like them on their feet.
Super quiet. Everyone we came in contact with was very nice and polite. Lots of room at our site (12&11) and easy to find free firewood. Decent restrooms for being so secluded, I was impressed!
Great campground! Spacious sites, not right on top of each other. We will visit again!
Similar to other reviews, the area was wonderful, clean, and peaceful without others present. However, the following day, we discovered ourselves in the middle of multiple horse-riding parties. With no campground host, these individuals were very loud, and intrusive, and held no concern for others trying to enjoy the camping experience. The site next to us decided to have multiple campfires even though there was a campfire band emailed and posted, while watching football on their TV outside of the camper and having the volume high enough that everyone could hear while only one person was present, and she wasn't watching the game. After their kids screamed many times throughout the day and dragged their plastic toys back and forth on the gravel road repeatedly, we decided to relocate to a quieter area of the park only to learn many of the spots were reserved by campers who didn't show or campers who didn't reserve their spot but decided to camp there anyway for free. We will not return.
We ride our horses here often. Restrooms are always clean, our campsite was clean, but the campground host was a bit too friendly. As we pulled in and we’re trying to park the horse trailer she was all up in my face telling me how to park my trailer, had her head up in my horses faces while they were in the trailer. She stated she was a “horse” person and I responded that I “was NOT” a people person in hopes she would move along while we got settled in. A real PITA!
