Excellent views, gorgeous surroundings - but not for beginners and it definitely isn’t the 1hr up that maps says! We did it in the reverse 3-2-1 loop in 4hrs, pretty fit. Peak 1 & 2 path has significant steep stairs. Peak 1 itself involves chains and ladders. Peak 3 southern track is less well marked and longer but easier to traverse and is the highest views. Going reverse from 3->2 is reasonably ok with some small steep sections, but going from 2->1 direct while possible is very tricky with vertical ladder sections over 20m (metal rods for foot holds) and chains as well as difficult to follow. Glad i did it - but don’t try unless you’ve got the right shoes, are with someone and can manage yourself.
We took the trail to the third peak first and then looped back to the second peak. The trail is well-maintained and gives a great workout. You are looking at a 700+ metre elevation over the length of 1.8km! The view at the third peak was phenomenal. You will find a picture of the fairyland when you look southwest toward Howe Sound. You will be in awe of the amazing work from the Creator. I will definitely revisit this place again.
It’s hard!! But really fun! Completing all three peaks are too hard for us so we chose the 2nd peak only for the best view and experience. Hands will be involved a lot during the trip, it’s better to bring/wear gloves. Enjoy~
Definitely a difficult hike which includes ropes, chains and ladders. Hiked all three peaks in one day which took about 6.5 hours including breaks. At the beginning there are many sets of steel steps which I had to take breaks every set
Amazing hike, definitely on the harder side. Went on it for my first hike with friends, the stairs were probably the hardest part but then getting use to the pace and steepness it was amazing. Definitely challenged myself and it was worth it. Most people say it’s hard (and it is) but it’s doable!! The peaks were gorgeous camera doesn’t even capture the beauty. Personally I enjoyed peak 3’s view the most especially the trail going up was fun.
